The safe allows access to the two USB ports in the console, but you'll have to keep your device in the safe as it does NOT have an opening for your cable to get out. I drilled a hole on the side facing the dash just big enough for a lightning cable (not the USB end) to fit through.

Hopefully when you pull it out there will be a mark on it where it's catching. File a 16th or less off that side and it should slide in to where it clips in place.

It is technically OEM but it’s a simply rebranded console vault, even has the console vault sticker and part number at the bottom.

 

The Kat part number on the pad is KH24100
Block heater is KH11813

 

I didnt see a mark when I pulled it out, but I also was not looking. I might put some nail polish on the end and send back into the hole, should chip off the paint where it needs some work.

 

If I actually get around to my oil change this weekend I'll try to pull it and look at mine too.

i used the same one from e-trailer. I had to do a little bit of filing to get it in, and honestly i’m not sure it was totally necessary, but it was a very simple install.

I routed mine up to a 4 way box for my transmission pan heater, oil pan heater, and battery maintainer.
