What Have You Done To Your 3rd Gen Today?

Did the refresh of underhood mouse be gone peppermint spray…not exciting but lifting that dang hood is good for the muscles

 

Made a couple brackets to hold my shovel (inspired by another post, but had trouble finding some of the parts), and assembled a couple super simple/versatile wraps to hold whatever. Not as good as MOLLE but inexpensive and easy to swap out/move around.

 

I also routed the drain tubes for my BAKflip tonneau but didn't want to drill the bed. So I got some hose attachments at Lowe's and slotted them into the factory holes. I can also easily remove them temporarily if they ever get in the way.

i did the same with my gator efx but i also put zipties around the tubing so it doesn't fall out.

I see the cable, does the safe allow access to the charge ports or did you modify it?

 

You can access the charge ports. I have the same console safe.

The safe allows access to the two USB ports in the console, but you'll have to keep your device in the safe as it does NOT have an opening for your cable to get out. I drilled a hole on the side facing the dash just big enough for a lightning cable (not the USB end) to fit through.

Hopefully when you pull it out there will be a mark on it where it's catching. File a 16th or less off that side and it should slide in to where it clips in place.

It is technically OEM but it’s a simply rebranded console vault, even has the console vault sticker and part number at the bottom.

 

The Kat part number on the pad is KH24100
Block heater is KH11813

 

I didnt see a mark when I pulled it out, but I also was not looking. I might put some nail polish on the end and send back into the hole, should chip off the paint where it needs some work.

 

If I actually get around to my oil change this weekend I'll try to pull it and look at mine too.
