Well yeah...that's why I'm asking the OP. I'm not familiar with a Toyota "winter" wiper.

Don't like England couldn't care more about writing or speaking proper English.

Proper English will become even less important when the country becomes more and more of a non english speaking nation.

Went to a Popeyes yesterday. Only one employee in the entire store spoke English. The majority of the people in line was in there because their drive up order was wrong. I watched two customers walk out, with out purchasing anything. It was a good time.

In this instance I would try 1 or 2 things. Either give the wiper arm a little bend inwards, or buy 1" or 2" smaller size wiper blades. The smaller wiper blade trick is actually easier on your wiper motor, especially in a snow storm.. You don't lose viability as there is overlap anyways.

Not all wipers are built the same...
Some are built and sprung for especially curved windshields.
How did the OEM wiper blades perform?
The Costco wipers were Michelin Hybrids?
The "winter" Toyota ones you have on there now; are they the Toyota SightLine wipers?

Of course, some can be different. OE that came on the truck made full contact but did not perform well cleaning snow and ice. Blades from Costco were Michelin Guardian Hybrid's. They never performed all that great in snow and ice either but always made full contact until the last set. They had the exact same spot that is not being cleared. This is why I am wondering is something else may be the factor here, such as a wiper arm problem. I do not know about the "SightLine" part, they are simply branded as Toyota winter wiper blades. Had no issues like this on my 2016 Tacoma either.
