What Have You Done To Your 3rd Gen Today?

I've been getting so many stares and double take looks from other Toyota drivers and pedestrians since installing the TRD catback. It's awesome.

 

Looks like noco makes a nice plug for surface mounting for chargers. Might grab one of these and put it in the wheel well where my current 12v plug is.

Installed my Vent Visors, the bed cover from my 21, same with the gas cap holder...Now trying to figure out where to get the emblem blackout overlays, is Toyota the best? Aftermarket?

I’ll never forget the time my dinosaur AMC Eagle froze solid. I was going to UAF and had been under the impression it had a block heater. All was well until the first -20 snap when I found out the plug went nowhere. My great uncle showed up to the parking lot with a propane weed burner and an 8ft section of stove pipe. 30 minutes later I was able to fire it up.
Gotta love that homesteader ingenuity!

Trying to jump 4 and 13 pin in my OBD2 connection and find out nothing is in 13. Anyone run across this in a 2020 OR before?

I have changed the transmission fluid and want to set it to the correct level thanks

 

Installed @tacos4cheap grille letters. So much better than tuffskinz in my opinion.

See comparison photos. I put the tuffskinz letters on the tailgate so I wouldn’t be throwing away $$

 

Would like to know this as well. I don’t have an OR. But I’m pretty sure my SR5 doesn’t have anything in the #13 port as well

 

Ok I’m getting lost. What does a obd port have to do with tranny fluid??

Do you have a TRD Pro skid installed?

 

If you jump port for and 13 you're able to put the vehicle into temp check mode for the transmission. At which point when the transmission fluid is at the correct temperature you can check the level by opening the Overflow. There's more to it but and there's a thread on this topic in Tacoma world

That is what I installed for my onboard Noco battery charger.

 

Wouldn’t it be easier just to fill the transmission with the required amount less what the torque converter already has?

I like the SFX Gator sells on their site that has the spring clips in the back vs the ETX they sell on Amazon that has handles. Both work, but I like the ability to slightly pull up on the cover when i'm opening/closing the tailgate so its so always pulling against the seal.

 

AJT cup holder mod. Holds a 40 hydroflask. Pretty easy install.

 

Impossible. Not according to Toyota.

Although, I am now considering retrofitting a transmission level dipstick.

 

AJT interior black door handle covers came in Thursday and installed last night.



I just realized the only chrome left in my truck is the OEM LED headlights. That was not really the plan. But…every time I see/read something or get notifications from @MESO, I end up getting them. I really need to stay away.


Also, today I flashed my truck from PRO+XT AGM to PRO 9.0 AGM KDMax. I still need to test drive to feel the difference. Thanks again @PapaRee for the updated tune files.

 

Finally did a thing a few weeks ago. Love it! Used this kit and after letting things "settle" no issues at all.
