    Well, I guess just one. I don't know if this would affect the sturdiness of the adapter. but want to know what you think about it and also the outlook outcome.
    Would it look better, If some of the front surface ware slanted down towards the front. from somewhere below the letters. So that the front edge aligns with the border of the cubby ? maybe moving the letters up a little or placing the letters on the slanted surface.

    Here’s one I just haven’t gotten around to, so am willing to put it in the public domain. I have a DMM for mounting crap to my dash. So far, it’s done well at letting me hang my Covid social compliance devices from one of the balls.

    I’d like to fab up a horizontal phone mount that you just snap your phone into. In the best of worlds, it would be able to flip flat when not in use. Perhaps with a few detents or something to make it secure in each of the two positions.

    I have a few ideas about how to secure the phone, but that gets hard to describe without pics. This mount would secure straight to the DMM rather than into a ramball.

    I will hold off shipping.

    Not sure how much you are considering ktbell444's suggestion about making it shorter. It's fine the height it is, but it does feel a bit tall in the cubby.

    We could slim it down, say by the depth of the post in the middle. I am not sure if there would still be enough room for 38" of cable storage, but there might be. If one is plugging into the center console USB, any extra length that does not fit underneath the adapter would definitely fit in the center console.

    Ok. I guess we could get rid of the post in the middle.

    Ok, let’s get rid of the post in the middle. Since I’m sending it to the USB in the center console. I don’t think there is going to be any cable left to put away anyways.
    When I get home, I’ll measure the hight of the front edge in the cubby. Maybe the slanting won’t be necessary without the hight of the post.

    Yeah, I have no idea of what a 3D printed piece can handle. Just running it by you. To see what you think. Maybe just slanting it just a little. Or leave it as is. Without the center pole the difference in hight shouldn’t be as obvious. Specially if painted black to match the cubby.

    What about continuing the flat surface of the top out to meet the bevel of the cupholders? Just a thought, as I know that would make things much more difficult without more measurements

    This part is pretty thick walled and not much stress, it can handle a lot lol. Regarding geometry for printing, I should be able to print most anything you can think up for this part. Worst case I might have to reorient a bit when printing, or add in some temporary supports, but that's no big deal.
