Alright. Got the solo mounts in. They definitely raise the seats. Don’t like it. My knee is into the steering wheel letting up on the clutch pedal. And just sitting I can’t fit my hand between the wheel and my leg. Back to the drawing board. @snowsk8air2

Have you looked at planted brackets?

    https://www.plantedtechnology.com/p...-models-no-benches-2005-2015-driver-left.html

I see now that the prp’s use a horizontal mounting tabs so this could get complicated if you wanted to keep a slider.

Probably going to find a set of universal sliders. Don’t get me wrong, solo did all they could with the factory sliders to keep them low. It’s just not enough. I’d solid mount these in a heartbeat but then the wife would never be able to drive it if she wanted to. The angle and the seat it’s self is comfy as shit. Just need to gain some more head room IMO.

Solid mount and get a booster for the wife. That’s my plan at least

prp does sell sliders setup with brackets for their horizontal mount, I haven’t compared to how much lower they might be than the factory brackets but they do seem like it could be substantial with the right cage cross tubing setup.

Yeah, that was my exact experience too. Couldn’t spread my knees enough to steer. Containment is great, but the seats don’t work on the solo mounts. I’m absolutely in love with the Elite recliners. Agreed not the level of safety that a race truck deserves, but mines not a race truck.

Kartek has a nice solid option too. Probably the route I will take.

The seat is still going to end up higher than you think with those and the seat will never feel like its very solid. The best thing to do is make your own sliders out of 1” that slide on brass bushings. You can then use the actuator of your choice

Had some fun last night playing around with the original LS1Taco... motor swaps always make everything way better :)

I have planted brackets and had to use some spacers to raise my seat. Probably cost more than the Solo bracket but worth it so far. Bottom mount seats required about an 1" spacer and side mounts were about a medium setting. Albeit I'm short, but I can't see how sitting on the floor is comfortable.

By the way just showing that the Planted brackets can definitely be lower for taller peeps. There's a 1" rise in them. They fit for medium people fine. But every brand seat can be different due to the seat pad. Not a bad thing but not a one size fits all.
