Anyone have the needle bearing vibration issue after installing the lift? I’m sure Toyota would not install the ecsg bushing but I’m debating whether I should do it at the same time as the lift for preventive measures.

None here, but I’m not at the full 2” in the front like the majority of this thread is.

Has anyone here changed the rear block out for a new leaf? I’m looking at the Icon 1.5 rear expansion pack to hopefully give it just a small amount of rake back

Yeah, but I wanted to have Toyota install the lift and I doubt they would install an aftermarket part. In any case, if it goes bad they should replace it.

On another note, I changed my mind about the grill, does anyone know if they still need to recalibrate the oem grill? I was quoted 825 for just the lift excluding the pro grill.

Some dealers are using the ecgs clamshell bushing. If the dealership uses the OEM bearing it will continue to go bad.

I was under the impression that the TSS will be wonky if you add the lift and not the new grill with relocated TSS garnish. Regardless the added height will likely necessitate a TSS recalibration

I have exactly this setup, not only did I get the factory looking rake back, the amount in the bed before it squats is much more and the ride hasn’t changed at all

not sure why but I could never sell myself on blocks. Nothing wrong with them though

Thousands of lifted Tacoma trucks and no issues, dealers have lifted them since 2018 with no issues. I'm one of them that had no issues and no recalibration either.

No problems with the bushings or the TSS on the TRD lift. Front at 2" with a 1.25" rear block 1 degree taper. 8k miles and doing fine.

So you have the TRD lift but you kept original grill/camera and haven’t had issues?

What's the best way to add a little bit more lift to this kit? A 1/4 top spacer and swap out the rear block for a 1.5" block?

I went 2.0 front (TRD OEM shocks all 4) but put 1.5 tapers blocks in back instead of the 1.0. I think the ride height is perfect

Might be better to just buy the shocks from this kit (if u still can) if your going to do that.

already have them but haven’t installed yet. I’ll be getting 285’s so wanna explore possibly adding a little more height if needed.
