Has anybody noticed that the door handle of your tacoma is kind of in bad location ? I feel like it should be more towards the left side and not in the middle

Seems normal to me. And it’s an attachment point for the panel. Kind of center

    Your left or my left?

I find it to be acceptable. I guess if I don’t notice it annoying me it’s good to go.

You’re right, it’s not complicated, just pull the lever and the door will open. All is right with the world again.

If I’m understanding your reason, it takes more force to close than if it was all the way to the left?
It’s just physics vs practicality really… The steering wheel would be easier to turn if it had a 5 foot diameter, but both work with minimal effort as is. It’s in the middle to support the door panel as someone else stated and closer to the driver by being in the middle. It accommodates many arm lengths and is easier to grab while seated without stretching. How would you close the door when it’s all the way open if it was farther left?

i like your comparison, it may be that my door hinge needs to be re adjusted, my other doors close without much force

It’s common for a car door to close more easily with an open window, as the air which is getting compressed inside the cab as the door shuts, has a place to escape.
