Good job man! And that was what sounded like no damage at all. I wish we all had these standards

Sorry to hear OP. My other car we’ve had since new and it was keyed at about 6 months into owning it. So frustrating. Hope you’re able to find out some info, and have peace if not. Either way, easy chance for some siiick upgrades

Think I might just get a off-road front bumper honestly. Let’s see once the dust settles a little. Irony is I had every intention of keeping this truck stock

Didn't mean to be tooting my own horn. I just can't understand not making it right. Never did hear back from the guy, so I am guessing there wasn't any damage. Full disclosure, I did leave after bumping a car in a parking lot once. I could see no damage (didn't even transfer mud between the two bumpers) and had nothing in my car to leave a note. Disney land parking lot is huge, so no way to find them either.

    It's all in good fun...

Shame what happened to your truck. I used to be a people person, people cured me of that. I hope Karma gets them back 10x over.

I've watch enough CSI Vegas TV shows to know that they can reconstruct the crime scene and figure out exactly what vehicle hit you. They usually solve bigger crimes in less than an hour.

Sorry this happened to you. Dollar to donuts you got hit as if someone hit the corner of the truck backing up, out of a driveway, after either doing a delivery, or doing a drop-off. If it was just some drunk driving down the road, you'd think they would have hit the back of the truck, or the driver side doors.
So this person was stopped in the driveway of your neighbor a click down the road, and across the street from you. Go to their door, and hold up the piece of plastic, and be nice. You may find out who hit you.

Or you could go to the cab company (if they use similar color vehicles) and ask if someone had a call for your area of the street... And show them the piece (but only if the color matches). :duel:

    Good luck.

All great thoughts. I’ve called Reno yellow cab service, Reno green landscaping company and about to call DHL delivery as these are the only yellow things I could think of. I’m totally with you on the drunk driver. I also thought that would have been more of a swipe the entire side situation. I think my neighbors were getting a delivery and they backed up and forgot I was there and backed into me. There was quite a bit of force from the front of the truck pushing back so it was definitely a direct hit and not a sideswipe
