    yes exactly, i would only cover it up if it got down to the metal, all my chips were down to the metal so i covered them up, but if its on the surface i would just let it be or try not to get frustrated, as this will happen unfortunately

    It’s disappointing to get a scratch so soon but unless it’s a garage queen every vehicle eventually gets them eventually.

    Look at it this way, the first scratch is always the most traumatic, and you got it out of the way already. The next one will hurt much less and the one after that.... I know I'm dreading the first one. BTW OP, I see you've traveled some...

    i freaked out after my first scratch. now i have 2-3 dozen dings from work. it's a truck and it's going to get scratched if it's used like one. consider it a patina.

    Though I can understand the sentiment, I'd rather have the heartbreak of my first scratch that all the headaches I've had buying used. It's never worked out for me. Irish luck, I suppose.
