    Just make a thick gravy with the above items and pour it over toast…. It was a very special treat if we got it over biscuits!!! Everyone was all :bananadance: then!!

    I can never figure out just how long to heat the bread with the OXY- fuel torch .

    I watched coworkers do that all the time never could get the correct timing

    Ours was often made with hamburger. Growing up it depended on we could afford at the time. Still make it and as a treat will serve it over fresh homemade yeast bread butter rolls

    You can still buy it, Stoufers sells it in the freezer section, comes in a boil in bag, its pretty good, have one in the freezer now.
