Nice jacket, nothing wrong with klim, just switched all my gear to it, pricey but nice stuff imo

I've got quite a few friends that wear it but the price has kept me away until now. If this jacket weren't on closeout for such a killer deal I wouldn't have ordered it. I have 2 friends who have crash tested their stuff and it's been impressive how well it held up. Really liking the thought of Goretex and not pulling over to add rain liners.

Does Klim still replace it if you crash test it? One of the gear videos from FortNine said that they used to do that to get data on their gear.

@uurx I have been looking at the specs of everything that I am interested in. I think right now at the top of the list is a KLX140 followed closely by a CRF125 or XR80

Also thought it might be good to get a KLX 140G and get a smaller set of wheels for it.

    Honda

    XR80

    Wheels 16/14

    Suspension 5.5”F 4.3”R

    Weight 163lbs

    XR100

    Wheels 19/16

    Suspension 5.9”F 5.5”R

    Weight 174lbs

    Crf110f

    Wheels 14/12

    Suspension 3.9”F 3.8”R

    Weight 169lbs

    CRF125F

    Wheels 17/14

    Suspension 5.9”F 5.5”R

    Weight 194lbs

    Kawasaki

    Klx110

    Wheels 14/12

Anyone who has a camera for video when you ride, what type and where do you mount it?

Can you use an iPhone in a post mount in the triple tree?

I have a GoPro with the basic adhesive mount they provide with the camera on the top of my helmet. Not the best angle but it works well.

I was hoping there is some type of fairing mount one hardwired in that someone has experience with.

Phone would probably work but you'd have to dampen it so the video is even visible amongst the vibration of the bike.

Don't know but will certainly be reading over their warranty paperwork. Scuberth does that with helmets for first 5 years.

After ruining two iphone cameras with vibrations, I don't plan on hard mounting one again. I have a gopro session and a hero 6 I'll swap between depending on which one I've charged recently on a dango designs gripper mount. Clips onto your helmets chin bar and stays pretty stable. The other thing I've used is a claw grippy thing onto a backpack strap, if I'm wearing one. That's not a bad view either.

What type of bike and what are you wanting footage for? Just riding around footage or more dashcam style stuff?

make sure to run your track both clockwise and counterclockwise, it helps a lot with cutting out a more uniform track

Yes, if you have a police report to verify the information. Jsut crashing on your own volition isn’t covered. If you’re in an accident it’s covered

Yep! I have been. It also helps when I rip some laps on the KTM. Her little PW doesn’t do anything to the dirt
