Sounds like you just need to establish the boundaries. Everything here is cook to order. If you want your chicken done you need to specify that. Otherwise it comes the way I serve it. If you don’t like it do it yourself!!! Which is why I do the cooking

I am trying to remember the last time I ate a frozen TV dinner. I’m sure it was in the 1970s. 45+ years ago.

I learned to cook when I was a kid because I got hungry before my mom got out of bed. I cook for myself a lot going to college.

I cooked for my kids all the time because my wife had a weekend job.

I cook everything now unless it’s a special situation. My wife does the dishes and takes care of the cats and dogs. I take care of the tropical fish and fix the house when it breaks.

I'd rather cook because my wife doesn't like to pay attention to what she's doing. It turns out that if you go across the street to check the mail in the middle of making dinner, something is likely to get wrecked.

I'd rather buy the groceries because I can get out of the store without spending $400 on junk we don't need.

I'd rather wash the dishes because if I don't do them every day, I get called a slob by the person who leaves food, dishes and garbage all over the house (though she does at least dry most of the time).

In our house I do the grocery shopping. I go alone. The time my wife went along she got mad at me. She couldn't keep up with me. I know what I want. I know where it is. I get it and leave. I do most of the cooking also. I'm fine with that.

If I say something like that my wife would say, "It's in the fine print."

 

But, I did get 4 without permission

If he ends up with a new bike or new truck, momma is getting my new tattoo!!!
