Hey Connecticut, our everything hurts

Team pic, after the game today.

Game ended 3-0 us. Record for the season is 6-2.

I've known the coach (guy in all black on the right hand side) for some time. Played premier soccer with him way back when we were in high school. He asked me to work with his goalies this season, so I couldn't say no to helping out a friend. Especially when my kid (one in the neon green shirt standing next to the coach) was one of the goalies. The other one is the kid in the back row, standing in the middle.

I'm not on the coaching staff like the other two parents are (guys in blue tees on the left hand side). I just volunteered to help because I felt that I needed to help the goalies. They don't get the "attention" that field players do.

Both goalies had a great season. We had fun at practices, but I busted their asses & we always practiced hard. And it showed in the games. The other kid was a bit shy, but really came out of his shell as the season went on.

At the pizza party after the game today, I was surprised by a gift card from the team parents for helping out, as well as a gift card from the other goalie & his mom. His mom said that he always tells her how much fun he has at practices, and how much he loves working with me. Says I'm the best coach, and that going to practice and working with me is the highlight of his week. I'm so humbled to be thought of so highly. I had no words to express my gratitude, and was definitely not expecting to get anything from anyone. I volunteered on my own.

Looking forward to hopefully working with the same group of kids in the spring, if I get asked to help out again of course.

The radio I installed in mine (a NAV unit from a 2015) auto updates the time, including DST.

 

Same, head unit auto updates but the other 2..

 

Which other two? When I installed the new radio I also replaced the hazard switch from a 2015 to "delete" the clock that was there.

Dominoes isnt Pizza

I am just responding to the shots fired my way.

I enjoy a different pizzas, including deep dish and new haven style. And I have settled for dominoes and papa johns in the past but thats the same as fast food imo, and thats usually a very last resort for me.

While on the topic of Chicago food, you ever have an Italian beef sandwich (Portillos) or chicago style hot dog? So much good food out there.

Last two Saturdays i bumped bears going into my bow spot.
Not fun in the dark. Heart attack material right there.

 

Washed the Tacoma today. Weather was perfect.

It's been at least 2 months since it was washed, thought I would have to use sandpaper (joking) but with white paint I found some stains probably s..t from the tree leaves, but it looks a lot better.

Next thing is to prep for wax etc. while the weather holds.
