You wouldn't recognize The Woodlands now. 115,000 happy souls and only six major roads in or out.

It's a 13 year old Vacmaster chamber base model. We've replaced the sealer bar twice, but it's like the timex watch, we've sealed literally tons of fish and game with it and it just keeps going. The day it dies, I'll go buy another without hesitation. They are quite heavy, so if you have a convenient spot it can sit and be used in, that'll be easiest on ones back.

One of my hunter friends in Wyoming says the best way to go Moose hunting is with a whole posse of mounted men - so you can drive the critter over by the truck (parked on a nearby fire road).

Another took one of the shop trucks with him to hunt a buffalo ............ the crane was a necessity.

Guess it's time to start picking and choosing my car shows. Not many Toyota buddies today; the folks in the silver one didn't say hi.

:typing: Good Afternoon Porch Pals & Sue! Early to arrive

    20221106_075019.jpg

and early to leave the show today. But, Hook 'Em managed to survive a 4th quarter as WIN a road game! That was tense, again. And the Big 12 if officially a mess! Gotta give it to LSU for a gutsy win in OT as well. Watched part of the BC game Friday, @CTSpruceMica , and the highlight was probably when the showed all the injured guys around the BC bench! Geez - that's a whole HS team!

Thank You. I put the Pro360 into my kitchen wish list on Amazon. At $288 it is affordable.

@johneman Like your new Avatar. @Oldie2007 TY for all the car show pics.

Good morning. Lawn irrigation company is coming out this morning to winterize the system. I also have a BJ's run to make. Going to smoke a pork belly today. I will finish it off in a frying pan with hot oil. I have a meeting at the polling location at 6 tonight to get set up for tomorrow. Toss in guitar practice and I have a busy day ahead.

:pccoffee:  sixtys/wannabes/skate d00ds. Speaking of car shows, I was at an open house for a nearby restoration shop on Saturday. Posted some pics over in the car porn thread. https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/car-porn.401438/page-982#post-28014679

I'm going to make a run to REI this morning; my hope is to score a decent pair of work-in-the-yard shoes that aren't 500 pounds in weight and $500 in cost. They have a whole bunch of stuff on sale right now, end of the season I guess. The old hiking sneakers I've been using have finally fallen completely apart -- the upper half of the right shoe has decided to divorce the lower half, and the other shoe isn't far behind. So it's either new shoes or duct tape.

After that I'm meeting my sister for lunch. She is here to plant some bulbs on our parents' gravesite. She says they are different kinds that come up different times of the year, so it should add color for a good part of the spring/summer/fall. We have to do something because the florists' gravesite is just a little further down the line and they have beautiful plants there all year round! Darned showoffs. ;)

Always love the car show photos Kurt!
Next time get a few more of that Nova. Very impressive.
I may enter my truck, just for fun and comradery, next weekend at a local show (small town here). They probably will only have about 20 or so vehicles.

    morning everyone!
