We released a deer from the drudgery of this mortal existence coming back from Yosemite last night. I was telling Mrs. Blue Canary about this article I read last week drawing correlation between DST and deer strikes. 2 minutes later, a hard brake, and a bang! It was a good sized deer with antlers . Took out the headlight and wrapped the edge of the hood around the upper support. The quarter panel is pushed back a bit and rubs the door when it opens. I was a bit surprised to see that the wing of the BAMF bumper is pushed in about 1.5 inches. I may have nudged a rock or two and it might have already been pushed in some prior to the deer. :anonymous: I hope that it will be easy to pull back out by the body shop. We'll see.

Now I'm waiting for the insurance office to open so we can have a heart to heart about mods to my truck and how best to proceed.

I have had a couple of DST conversations recently. The deer pretty much don't care, they're just doing their thing. People on the other hand, are doing more during the time critters are most active.

I hit one in my Civic a couple of years ago. No fun.

Wow Larry, glad you are all OK, and hope your truck and bumper get fixed without too much hassle.

What’s up gang. I’m living in sacramento for work for the next few months and may stay longer. My NH license plates will give me away if you see me around. Would love to hit some trails if you guys have anything coming up. Also welcoming any and all advice as a first timer in CA. You guys have some dope rigs on this feed! 22F3B340-E875-4FCC-BC1E-07E11FDC4BC3.jpg
