:pccoffee: Good Morning Porch Pals & Sue! Gee, a whole day of get a Thanksgiving crate from the attic, and I don't know what.

Thanks for the compliments. None of the shows I go to are judged; it's just share and stare. We used to have a big one here in Lockhart, once a year, but they had differences with the city and moved on. That occupied the entire downtown.

Kurt, Where was the car show?
    Sweet skateboard.

In the world of my crazy cousin, remember to go OVER cars, not under them.

Update: I just got off the phone with the chief of hematology at the Palo Alto VA. (I had spoken with my Primary's nurse, who made notes and forwarded them.) The on-again-off-again bone marrow biopsy is on again. I'll be getting a call to schedule it in December. I was told that labs could "adequately" monitor the enzyme , but the Dr agreed with my reasoning that the invasive test would be a very solid benchmark to go on. I won't need a driver for the commute home again, and I'll just have a sore butt for a few days. I'm sure, after this morning's conversation, that most likely, the whole thing will prove to be a non-issue, given my age now anyway, and even if bad news, I'll be better off knowing rather than guessing. I thank you all for your positive thoughts, and hopefully I won't have anything further to post on the subject.

Just a word on the VA: We've all heard how the Gov't treat it's Vets poorly. I'm here to tell you that I seriously doubt that I could have been treated better in the private sector. I've only been going the the VA for the past eleven years, but judging from previous experience with private sector health providers, going with the VA has been one of my better choices in life. Enlisting in the NAVY tops my list of good ideas! Happy Veterans Day!

Had some free time in Ocala before heading home today so I stopped at a local salvage yard and scored an unblemished glovebox door, the little black rubber disk for the bottom of the cup holder and a glove box light for $20. Clean 1st gen parts don’t hang around long in salvage yards and this stuff had been impossible to find around Tampa.

I agree, it's better off knowing than wondering, hopefully all will turn out ok, and good to hear that you have had a good relationship with the VA.

I picked up real bad vibration when I tried to go over 70 mph on the way home this afternoon. I guess I’ll head over to the local garage this week to get the tires re-balanced and hope that’s the end of it. Still pretty happy with how the truck did this weekend, towed a 5x8 UHaul trailer full of furniture 90 miles up and down hills, ran errands all over Ocala and made it home in one piece.
