Despite not being able to get to the features I wanted to see, it was still a great trip. Looking forward to the spring so we can do it again but we’re gonna go 87-260 instead

Yeah that will happen. I need a bit more snow before I go out. I like it deep. :anonymous: Let me know come spring time and I will meet you out there and we can go explore together. Only takes me a hour from my door to get to the top of the rim.
Yeah it is a good one. Looking forward to see it come together for you.

So, in the not-too-distant future, I'll be in the market for new shoes on the truck. Currently, I'm running Cooper ATIIIs and had good luck with them. I'm thinking of going to a more aggressive tire as the truck is not a daily anymore. What are you guys running? I was thinking of the ST MAXX this time around, but open to all suggestions. Ive had TOYOs on my RAM a few years back, and they were fantastic but a tad heavy for the taco.

I’m loving my Nittos, maybe get the TrailGrapplers if you’re looking for a mud tire, or the RidgeGrapplers for a good hybrid…idk if they come in a C load though

The Maxx's werent bad.. but for the price.. I'd probably look at something else. Maybe take a look at the new Mickey hybrids? I do love my Baja Boss MTs.. especially in the D load range. I dont think I'll ever run E's again on the Taco.

for the weight on the taco is D load I will need. The 4runner isnt terribly heavy and could deal with the C but will still aim for D when the time comes soon.

You and I have similar suspensions, be it your truck is heavier than mine. Jumping to 35's, any big concerns? I'm on 34's now. I'm sure I can trim the flairs and pound a little, but I don't want to have big rubbing concerns. The TC Race lowes limit my turning radius a little so maybe that's to my benefit?

Tires is just the topic for the day! I too am looking at new tires, Cant believe the Falkens are same price as the Mickey Baja boss.
I very happy with Falkens but kinda wanna try a new tread. These damn rock in the desert put a hurtin on the side lugs. Seem to have torn a few off the last run out.

Toyo, Nitto and Yokohama are my go-to’s. I’m on Kenda RT’s right now I like them except they pick up all rocks in the tread. I’ve had Coopers and they always sucked when trying to balance, always had vibrations.

I could never get the Coopers to balance. HAted them. Luckily they were on my wifes truck and not mine. :notsure:
