It's easy to get around that though. All they have to do is mount it to a base. I had 2 Dale Jr #8 Budweiser cars that were done the same way. Monster apparently is not interested in that. I guess Coke (who owns about 20% of Monster) also had exclusive rights with a company that isn't Lionel. Not sure if that plays a factor or not. I have a couple of Kyle/Kurt Busch 54 Monster diecasts from years ago, but that was probably before any updated laws.

It's the least amount of wins by a manufacturer that won the championship since Keselowski and Dodge.

Remember the old Bud cars whenever you would see them at Walmart or something they would just say "Dale" across the hood.

My wife was watching some TV show yesterday and at the end of each episode it would say "No one was harmed in the making of this episode". Like how anytime I am on Netflix its like "Graphic violence, sexual situations, drug use and Smoking!"

Yeah I think we have a couple with the DEI logo as well. I think that #8 Budweiser gen 4 car was also my highest quality diecast as well. I put it through the ringer after I removed the base and it didn't show a single sign of wear. Same can't be said for the COT version which I accidentally broke the wing on when trying to remove that from the base.

Wow, they got their guy. I've heard many good things about Pattie, we'll see if it pays off.

Ty Gibbs to the 54 in cup. JGR will be holding onto the 18 to use in the future.

interesting turn of events there.... no surprise he's going to Cup but what does Coach have up his sleeves? Chris Gayle moving over too. Ty will do good. Kid just needs to drive to keep his mouth shut.

I imagine they'll reintroduce the 18 after Truex or Hamlin leaves. Shelving it for a while is a very nice gesture and one Rick Hendrick should have done after Gordon and Johnson left, but I digress.

It would be classy if Coach loaned the 18 to KB for the remainder of his career. Not sure RC would be okay with that though. I know if JRM ever comes into cup Dale will do everything in his power to get the 8 back and I suspect worst case Mr. H will give him the 88. The 18 is iconic for JGR and I'm not sure Gibbs wants it. Some big shoes to full and he might want to make his own name in his own number. The 11 is a big deal at JGR because it was JD's car and # and the 18 is the # they started with and probably holds some place in Coaches heart. Perhaps they do not want to see it hit the wall and run mid pack for a few years! LOL...

Agreed but I can't see JGR doing that to honor KB. Sticking Ty in the 18 would have been the big FU so maybe you have something there.

Well and Kyle lost his ride to Ty, where as Jeff & Jimmy retired.

i wouldn't say KB lost his ride to Ty. If JGR wanted to keep KB, he'd still be there. I get it, Ty is the up and coming and cost JGR a hell of a lot less than KB demands but he did not lose his ride. JGR lost KB

Whatever the economics Ty Gibbs will be driving Kyles ride next year and you can bet Kyle would much rather be in JGR equipment over RCR. I see your point but my point was that Kyle is still in the sport and did not make a move to a better team so to see the 18 with someone else in it would have been a bit of a twist of the knife.
