Duluth heavyweight socks are good, and good quality.

These are what I have on today. I'm recovering from back surgery, so I'm in the office today. But I have a pair of Whites Smoke Jumpers with the Safety Toes when I'm in the field. The Steel gets too hot in the summer or too cold in the winter when it snows.

I can honestly say Ive been wearing this brand for over 5 years and have less than seven pairs. I wear flip-flops on the weekends. Even to the hockey rink, but that's how I get by. That and the wife does laundry a few times a week.

I have a new respect for diesel mechanics. F dis! Intake manifolds on a 400k mile sprinter van. Turbo diesel.

And that's "clean" work. Now try fixing a cat excavator in a muddy pit of a construction site. I'm glad someone else is willing to do that work, cuz I really dont ever want to do that.

At least with [most] heavy duty stuff, there's a bit of room to work, vans just plain suck! (Although dropping a D8 belly pan in a mud pit isn't exactly a holiday either...)

Hm, yeah, that is a conundrum, would you rather stuff be hard to reach, etc or would you rather be buried in the mud?

Ultimately, I'm an accountant so that prob tells you I found the soulsucking loophole "neither" option.

I was over at a friends the other day who is a diesel mechanic. He had a rollback in his shop (Ford 6.0) and the entire bed was covered in engine parts. I looked under the hood and he had the valve covers off
