    Ya it's the LCE supercharger.
Bought it used, but it comes in a kit. Replaces the whole intake manifold. Throttle body and EGR are the only things that get swapped over to the SC assembly.

First impressions with it? Don't see too many supercharged 4bangers on here, I know @BartMaster1234 says his was underwhelming but he's also got a ton of weight on his truck.

The 4 cyl supercharger behind an auto is very underwhelming, I was told behind a manual it is much more noticeable since the auto steals a lot of the power.

    I’d turbo it over supercharge.

The supercharger on the manual 4sp makes it as powerful as an NA 3.4l.

@Empty_Lord or anyone else familiar... I had to replace the throttle cable (aka kickdown cable) on the A340F. I should've done it before installing but didn't. According to the instructions, I need to 'stake' the cable with the supplied 'stopper'. Since I didn't do it then, is there any issue with just comparing it to the original cable and stake the stopper in the same location?

    Thx!

Yeah Zane had that blower on his truck before @BartMaster1234 got it. I drove it, hard, and it was a freaking hoot and a hollar to drive. But he had kept the rig pretty light. It was a blast had great torque I thought. Wasn't "fast" but man it was great. I think it had more scoot than a standard na 3.4l personally. Just barely.

Yea it definitely seems to have more pep in it's step. Exhaust seems to be louder as well. Sadly doesn't make any fun blower noises with the low boost pulley on it though. It pulls the hardest on a cold start. Once it's warmed up, it drops off a bit due to just heat soak I assume. I can imagine that's going to become more prevalent in the summer too.

I haven't driven a 3.4 so I can't compare it to that, but i'll be curious to race some of my buddies in their similar built 3.4 1st gens.

I would obviously rather turbo than SC, but I'm limited to SC bc california.

After I run it as is for some time, I would like to eventually put the smaller pulley on and do the Haltech 750 SNP kit with meth. Gabe was saying he's been able to get ~240hp and 200ft lbs torque out of a SC 3rz. Not crazy numbers, but the best part of it is the 200ftlb of torque comes on at 2k rpm.

My SC performed very very well with Methanol. It seals up the rotors far better than it did before and I noticed an improvement in how well it would hold boost.

I posted a recommendation about a month ago about running narrower wheels and tires. Just came across the first video today, and it referenced the second video. I'm really surprised to find a retailer posting stuff like this. For the most part I think the offroad community is saturated with gimmicks that sell. Anyway, I highly recommend watching both videos, all the way to the finish.

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=P7UrTNnSHeE&ab_channel=TrailBuiltOff-Road
I will say this again - my experience is with much heavier Powerstroke diesels in mud and snow. I haven't wheeled my Taco much, or anything light. I've also done very little rock crawling. That said, I'd argue both videos are just a little off, and the second video doesn't talk about tire height enough. I wouldn't even recommend super wide tires in snow and mud, and I'd probably go 70% or lower on the tire:wheel width ratio (beadlocks change everything, though). They're still pretty good videos, IMO.
I know wider looks cooler, especially with LT. If you're happy with how they perform, more power to you. But for anyone who's just getting into the offroad stuff, I wanted to put this into the mixer.

I need to get a boost gauge and AFR gauge plumbed before I do anything else so I can tell what's truly going on.
What pulley are you running? fwir you were using a piggyback and I think injectors?
Also what do you mean seals up the rotors? I thought methanols purpose was to cool the charge air as well as make it more oxygen rich.

That top engraving that looks like a K might actually be what you use to center the bearing in the housing. That is to mean that when the line in the bearing is perfectly parallel to the K, then everything is lined up correctly.

But like others have said, I don't think it's too critical but I can imagine that the bearing may wear out faster if the CB is off canter and the two piece driveshaft is not spinning in a straight line. But I mean...you have to be really off....

As someone who has played across the spectrum from 235 to 315, tire width is more of an aesthetic than anything. Too many larger variables at play, tire tread, tire pressure, truck weight, and driver make more of a difference than the width of the tire. Just my $0.02.
