Like sterling said. Definitely get it checked out but if it just ends up being something you can fix then get as much as you can from the insurance company. You could also get some quotes from various shops to present to your ins company for a better payout then just opt to cash out.
Oh temptation, gas is so expensive though :goingcrazy:
Here’s a good one for you. Recently a customer bought a Jetta, rolled it - it’s absolutely destroyed, returned it saying they’re unable to pay their monthly payment

Like a few have said, take it in the multiple shops to check the frame and quote on complete repair. Give the best shop's quote and police report to insurance and let them handle the rest. They'll send you a check for the repair and you can decide what you want to do with it. Maybe it's rear bumper upgrade time? :)

How fast do you think he was going when he hit you?

Ouch, that had to hurt. Don't forget to get yourself checked up. Injuries sometime take days before showing up.

Update: The man did have insurance (Thank god). He's dodging every call from my insurance and his but because of that, it pushed my case further on my side (Hit and run to no fault of mine)

Still waiting to hear back from Caliber to get my car fixed

Yeah! They found who it was and he had insurance thank god. Still dealing with all the technical shit but I was finally able to schedule to get my car fixed next Monday - there was a miscommunication with the estimate so they had to clarify with my insurance before I could schedule

Got an email from his Insurance today offering a settlement payout for $1,000 cash direct + up to $5,800 in medical expenses LOL. My insurance oddly enough hit me up a few hours later saying "do NOT sign or accept any payout or settlement money from Progressive until they get my deductible back".

Was wondering why they were so quick to hit me up until I realized they 100% filed it as a hit and run so his insurance is tryna get me to hush-hush hahahah

Let the insurance companies talk to each other. You don't need to talk to the person at faults insurance.
