Finished the desk for my niece with the detachable bookshelf. It slides on and off. When not on top the desk another piece can be slid in the slot to make another shelf.

Does anyone have a Dewalt 13" planer (DW735) that uses it without a dust collector? A local shop had a pretty damn good sale on so I snagged it up. I'll be setting it up on Friday, but I don't have an dust collection (aside from the trusty shop vac). With the chip ejection port I've seen some people pipe it over to a can or even a pillow case, to collect the chips. Dust is what it is.
I'm not going to be running 100's of bdft thru it each week but figured while I'm getting my Christmas cutting board supply done might as well try to contain as much of the chips instead of letting them all hit the floor ha!

I have that planer without a dust collector. It's not 100%, but I just use a rockler dust collector bag on the dust port and it's not too bad. If you look at the reviews on this page it actually shows the bag hooked to that planer.

Some stuff. Not a lot, just some.
I have used mine in the past without dust collection and I would not recommend using it indoors without dust collection. It will sling the chips upwards of 20 feet.

You can get the bags relatively cheap.

I have and use the DW735 with the rockler bag as well. Works really well for me. I added a 90 degree pvc pipe elbow to the 735 to help redirect the chips...

Fifty years of collecting tools. Sigh, Parkinson's is messing with me so I've been slowly downsizing and cleaning out the shop.

The airplane I built, was "state of the art for 1940." No stink' fiberglass cows or wingtips,
real aviators make those out of aluminum. Even learned how to Oxy Acelyene weld
    aluminum.

I have a great life. Getting to dream, and learn to build things, such as the airplane. Zero regrets.

Still have a blast camping and out exploring back roads.

    Air hammer.

    https://www.tinmantech.com/products...s/complete-units/model-1000-straight-post.php

The best part of buying quality stuff is using it for years and selling it for close to what I paid.

All my photos were on an older Windows machine that fried the hard drive. Just fun stuff, so there was no backup. Hence just a few random photos.

I made a homemade CNC router. 50" x 50". Hindsight I should have made it wider to accept Baltic Birch (1.5 meters wide). Alas, haven't found any in a while.

Just turned 64, but if you ask my wife she says I act like I'm 14 as riding my bike, camp, and hike so I never seem to be home!
