Haha. I'm OSX everything, well, MacOS if I'm being proper, but wanted to try new hardware.
I dunno if I want to go down Hackintosh rabbit holes but I've seen people getting them going on Thinkpads with AMDs recently. I think Mint has been the best out of box I've tried today so far. Which is kinda annoying because I've normally liked MX kde.

Not sure why there are reg shortages... But mid isn't real, it's made by mixing reg and premium at the pump

I have a second gen in the fleet now.

i still prefer 1st gens. For the size of the second gen I’d just get a 1st gen double cab tundra

take it home permanently. 4.0 is the best toyota motor imo.

it is indeed a good motor. but i have no need for this truck. the 3.4 and 4.7 are also dead nuts reliable, you just need to do timing belts. meh.

i have a dead 4.0 with a bad headgasket i plan on using for mock up at some point. the 1995 may end up with a dual VVTI 4.0 eventually.

i just dont like how under powered the 2nd gens feel compared for a 4.7 tundra. oh. and the interiors way nicer looking. but it feels so much cheaper

I like the way the 07 rides, even with the old ass suspension and spacer feels comparable to the 02 with icons

Well, yeah, im impartial to the others cause as a mechanic I hate t-belts but ive never owned a toyota v8. The 4.0 warps cause of water pump issues. No diff than a t-belt failing only the motor walks away good vs water pump failure and 20 plus mile runs on no circulation. If you know what to look for im on the 4.0. Compact, takes the SC very well and is light. Ill do a toyota v8 here real soon though.

the 4.7 torque is so great. if i kept the 2nd gen it would get a 4.7 swap. simply because i prefer its power band. toss early 1uz rods in it and boost it if i want more.. the fuel mileage isnt that much worse than the 4.0

Do you know why Toyota made the rods weaker on the 2UZ than the 1 and 3? I've been wondering about that ever since I heard it.

rods are the same as all the 1uz vvti's and 3uzs. the only ones that were beefier were pree vvti 1uz. earliest ones being the beefiest. why? cost.

I guess it it depends on what you are looking for. Ive raced my 2nd gen. Like legit raced it on road and dirt mix at 60-80 mph for 1-2 miles at a time. Bone stock w bfg a/t's and it was super impressive. Not as predictable and stopped for shit but compared to the RZR, not crazy behind.
