There isn't a facepalm GIF or animation of any sort hard enough to describe what I'm doing for any of these people. o_O

Given the way it's going, I don't think the guy who I posted a screenshot of his comment is very far off the mark at all. SEMA running out of ideas and caving into the mainstream garbage.

6 piston brembos. Both front calipers $662 my cost brand new. Can’t pass that up.

Stock vs 6 piston. Pads are huge. 41A487AA-4E8C-497E-9163-A4DC2165DEBB.jpgBBDD840E-5697-45AD-A90E-66E65D3F08C9.jpg

I spoke with HPT about upgrades for those of us with previous generation MPVI units. They said upgrades should be available somettime in 1QCY23. Contrary to what's listed on their site, they said the only upgrade path will be to an MPVI3 (not MPVI2+). MPVI3 includes Bluetooth 5.0, M8 screw-on connector, RGB LEDs, (4MB/s) USB-C connectivity, Pro feature set ($50 dongle required), 8GB of storage, faster datalogging, and an accelerometer. Upgrade will cost $200 and require return of previous generation MPVI unit. Licenses/credits and user data will be ported to a new MPVI3 by HPT prior to sending it back to customers. Returned units become property of HPT.

Note that many vendors dispensed with hardcopy marketing materials, in favor of "visit our web site..." I did, however, pickup what was there from CSF (who had no Toyota parts on display), Powermaster Motorsports (who had no Toyota parts on display), Triple-R High Performance Lighting, LazerStar Lights, and Pinultimate Quick-Release Hitch Pins. Also notable was the number of Tundras on display, vs only a few Tacomas.

For folks wanting to add the 65 to 76 TB and TRD intake, you can do it with the TRD coupler. Flip the coupler backwards and it fits almost perfect using the Tacoma intake tube. If you have the FJ it’s possible but you need to really force it but you can without needing additional parts.

only part now is the intake tube. It seems a tad too long with the URD adapter. Any issue cutting it down some? I assume no since non S/C sits half way on.

Tacoma intake tube (untrimmed ) a rad too long. I can’t get the intake lid to clamp down and busted one of the clip mounts.

does the large hose on the intake need to sit all the way in? I assume yes but that’s the only item preventing it from going on farther.

    32EE3F0F-ADF9-4131-9C18-5383D3BB9A9A.jpg

FJ tube from @o0opackersfano0o who was able to fit with no trimming.

Thinking of upgrading to HPT. Best place to do that? Which package do I get? Worth waiting for a black Friday dealio? Is it worth it to install the wideband or are you dudes running the stock narrow band? Thinking of going back to 180° thermo. Anybody on stock thermo and HpT?

First question: are you going to self tune or just buy a premade like OTT?

How far are you pushing it? That will influence if we say get the wide and first before you go boom.

Probably premade tune with any maps available. But does Justin still bother tuning any of the pre made maps? My my mods are on the less side. How far? I'm at 300 caballos to the hubs with UCON. I would like to see 400 eventually but would be happy at 350. Just want a bit more and I'm pretty sure the tuning could help..

I think the early FJ is already released but wasn't included on the website. You have to contact them. At least there's svvti FJs with the HPT

2007/2008 FJ's (Auto N/A and S/C) have unofficial support with HPT.
2015-2019 4Runners have unofficial support as well with HPT. We can however tune just about all of the 2010-2022 4Runners w/ VFT as well.

We do sell our base file alone as a premade, but are also happy to give you the custom treatment too. Email John at info@overlandtailor.com and let him know you came from this thread. We'll get you taken care of if HPT is the route you want to take.

Guess that makes sense as I didn't see it on the hpt website.
