My Icon Stage 2 kit is shot…needs a full rebuild…

Looking at going to Fox 2.5’s. Sounds like King is hard to get ahold of right now.
Camburg? Accutune? Where should I be shopping? Is there something else I should consider?

I need new tires too because of the alignment issues caused by my suspension, my fault completely for not addressing it sooner…trying to wrap my head around 6k worth of work or just ripping it all out and returning to stock and a level kit…I’ve only owned the truck a year!

So just like a lot of people on here i dumped bunch of money into the truck doing all the typical mods. However looking back now i wish i just did the leveling kit and wheels. I think thats when the truck looked the nicest. Sure all the aftermarket crap looks nice but it gets old quick.

I live in a great area to go off road and wish I did more often than I do. I love how the truck looks and I’m having a hard time going to a “less fancy” type of life set up.

Locked Offroad sells an excellent 2.5" remote resi coilover system that performs like a King or Fox at half the price. I just got them myself and they are excellent as are the reviews from all the other purchasers I've spoken to! 6 week lead time currently from my understanding, and they're also having a black friday deal.

I see Dobisons and Iron Man already have their Black Friday sales posted. Get a good deal on a value suspension and install it yourself. Save a ton of money that way and still have something your happy to OR when you get the chance. You can keep it well under 6k and still walk away happy.

you live in Arizona, why not ADS (Arizona Desert Racing Shocks)? They as good if not better than King in their build and component quality.

The only way I'd run Fox is with custom valving. IMO they are way too stiff out of the box. I hear good things about how Accutune fixes them.

That said I absolutely love my ADS w/ my custom-specced tune, and they're local.

Shock Surplus is a good option, you can set alerts for when the set you are looking for comes back into stock.

Why not get the Icons rebuilt (I have heard Icons are poor quality durability-wise, but a rebuild is cheaper than any of the other options.)? You can score an OEM set of coilovers and shocks for cheap and use those while your Icons get rebuilt.

I’ve kept mine stock. Only real change needed for me is a coil swap (14” 700# to 14” 650#) for next rebuild

Eibach stage 1 lift kit, torch off road AAL, Mishimoto intake pipe, K&N drop in filter, PEDAL commander. 55w HID’s FUEL off road 18x9’s. EIBACH UCA’s and Reservoir shocks coming soon.
Tbh I felt the stock suspension was always a bit soft to my liking. I went with EIBACH STAGE 1 w/blocks in the rear then did a AAL. didn’t really think I would do any off roading considering where I live. Then I realized how bad the roads around LA and where I live can get. Damn near off reading .! At some points.

I guess I should also consider just sending em back to Icon for a rebuild…just not sure how that process goes since I’ve never done it before
