He isn't wrong. There is always oil left in the galleries and pockets in the engine. Doing an oil change does not get 100% of the oil in the engine. Even when the oil change is done correctly with the oil warmed up. There is a small amount left every change.

Anywho I've been waiting for crap messages to pile up . Here is my shot at why . I'm original owner of my 2017 Tacoma and I have 175k miles. I live in the pnw and our temps don't get too bad . Warmer months I might warmup for 3 min or so , during the colder months I'll do about 5min. I've been doing this the life of the motor and along with 5k oil changes. No factory recalls done . One tsb for ghost shifting , never fixed the issue till I got tuned . Honestly Toyota makes is very easy to get great life out of their vehicles . Follow proper maintenance depending on conditions of where you live. Been on tw for awhile now and one thing I've noticed is most fails that happen on Tacomas is out of pure laziness."I don't know why my truck leaks oil". Well don't wait till 10k to change oil . " I cruise doing 75 to 80mph on the hwy " really well honestly these trucks are not designed to be sailing a brick on the freeway all it's life . Something is gonna give. Anyway, if anyone can agree heat is the most deadliest criminal to any motor. Might call me crazy but if I'm on a long trip I will pop my hood when we pull over for a break or get fuel just to help heat exit while engine is off . Done it the whole life of the truck. I don't know I do what I do with my truck and I shake my head constantly in wonder , why so many other owners have so many damn issues . Take care of your shit and quit your whining.

Yep the posts from the two offenders are gone. They are probably fortunate that the ban hammer didn’t come down on them. Especially the one who started dropping the F bombs and made disparaging remarks about a persons age and generation. That is called ageism, a form of extreme prejudice. Good job mods for the deletions. We still have the thread but as far as threads go this one is pretty useless and uninformative .

I saw one of these yesterday. I guess it was a Dart, it was a bright green Mopar 340 what ever it was.

Have an 02 Civic in NJ. When it's cold I start and warm it 10 min before I head out. I don't like driving in a cold cabin or frosty windows. Defrosters on front and rear. No guessing.
