If anyone is looking for a good quality remote starter then BestBuy has one for $120 installed (reg price is $320). Have had same one on wifes suv for over 2 years with zero problems and does work with factory remotes. Bought 2 $300 popular brands for wife and had to return both. Ordered one for daughters new 2022 RAV4 because Toyota wants her to pay a subscription to use the factory remote. Ordered one for my 2008 Taco and may order one for sons 2012 Taco. At $120 it is unbeatable and a no-brainer. Since I am a totaltech member I used my rewards and only paid $96 total with tax installed for my Taco. Just have to make the installation appointment. Brand is Compustar. Model is RS1B-DC3. Read the reviews at BestBuy.com. I know it works well on our 2016 Escape and reviewers say it works great on 2nd and 3rd gen Tacomas. Yes $120 total with FREE installation.

I am sure they are easy to install. For free why bother. May be instructions online. Didn't look. In 2019 I bought 1 from 12 volt solutions for my wife. Installed with their t harness. Followed instructions to a t. Would not work. Paid over $300. Returned it and they sent me the "updated" $300 model. Still would not program. Returned again. Then bought her the one from BestBuy for $265 with free installation. After 2 years trouble free I am not looking anywhere else. Cannot beat the free installation. Took around 30 minutes last time.

If it’s an easy mount the box and plug and play, I’m buying one. I meant to have one installed this past spring.

If you are going to install yourself, and don't have a BB totaltech membership, then check N2designs. Sometimes they sell good ones for around $200. I was thrilled to get the $120 prices. I do pay a lot for the BB membership but my family buys a lot of stuff there and we can drop off computers for free services and tweeks nationwide. Get stuff like free ring doorbell or TV delivery and installations. I just didn't notice the $120 was my member price. I always get notifications like my kids laptop is ready in florida. Then I find out my kid went to florida.

Did a nice little 2 1/2 hour road trip, and grabbed a prinsu cab rack with the Cali-raised 40” LED lightbar and all wiring and switch. Bonus…on the way to go get that, i received a reply about a leer camper shell, in the same color as the truck that was located right on my way home. Very productive trip.

I will know in a couple of days. They didn't charge any extra when we put one in a Ford.

    Next update-

Another roadtrip, which i feel is 1/4 of the fun (then figuring out the how to, and executing the task is probably 1/2 the fun, with another 1/4 getting to use the item).

This roadtrip was to focus on the camping side of things, and took me about 4 hrs round trip plus loading and cleaning, because it friggin unexpectedly snowed the whole way home!

A Roofnest Condor XL, an AluCab 270 Shadow Awn, and a Rhino Rack Pioneer Platform (which i decided not to use because of the added weight).

So the Roofnest went on my trailer, and got snow and road salt thrown all over it on the way home! That was not cool!!
