That's a horrible idea. What time?
Interested, but not sure when I'm getting back up there. TW Express toward Virginia?

Made a quick visit to “The Mounds” ORV park the other day with a buddy and his Jeep. I decided to bring along my future co-pilot this time. Seemed like he had a blast

Just had my 90k service done today. After renting a Tundra on a recent trip out west, I realized it was extremely smooth and my Tacoma no longer was. So when I had it in, I had the tires re-balanced. I've had the tires on for 50k miles. Just a reminder to have them checked every now and again.

How much tread depth do you have left after 50,000 mi?

7/32 according to their measurements. Started with 14/32 and the dealership loves to overinflate my tires.

    Impressive.

Should be leaving with 35 psi....

Thanks. Definitely have gotten more mileage out of these than any other set I've had, including the same sets on my old truck. Although I believe worn suspension played a factor there. But I'm also very religious about getting the tire rotations done every time the maintenance light comes on.

My truck says 30 psi when cold. They tend to put them around 37 (according to the truck) when I check as I'm leaving. It got up to 39 before I got home. It definitely shows as well when my inner 3 rows of tread are covered in road dust but only parts of the outer tread. I know I can never keep it perfect thanks to weather and other driving conditions, but still.

Toyota standard for the dealerships in the cold months is 35 when leaving. A few up or down isn't going to kill you. But like you said, if you're only seeing where on a few of the tread rings and not all of them then you definitely know you're over inflated.

Good to know. I figured there was something, but I assumed they had something based on your vehicle. The last couple of times they didn't touch my air at all. But usually I end up having to let air out for that same reason. But I also know there's probably a bit of discrepancy between their air guages and the TPMS sensors.

There is. Keep in mind all air gauges are +/- 1 psi (up to roughly 100, lower for cheaper ones)

TPMS seems to be fairly accurate, at least as they read in techstream.

I imagine it is pretty accurate. I tend to rely on my Topeak pressure gauge since I use that for my mountain bikes. But I digress.

It's like the saying goes: "A man with a watch always knows the time. A man with two watches is never really sure."

I cut the exhaust tip off of my cat back exhaust and replaced it with a straight cut. I’m not sure if anybody is interested but I have a magna flow exhaust tip that might have 3 miles on it. Put about 5 coats of sealant and wax after original instal. Grand Rapids area.. 3 in inlet 4 inch outlet. $75
