What about the blow by hose from the driver’s side valve cover to the intake tube,
    Is that taped off?
Or can you run the hose from the drivers valve cover to the CC and then to the intake tube?
I would think there would be more blow by coming from the drivers side valve cover because there is no pcv valve.

but is this CC system really working if it’s only catching one bank of the valve covers?
I’m guessing you need both sides running into the CC.

I tried T-ing the drivers side valve cover vent into the catch can along with the PCV line. There is a lot more pressure being pushed through the PCV (as that’s designed to “exhaust” as much crankcase vapor as possible) so what ends up happening is stuff feeds back up the drivers side vent hose.

I installed a second catch can on the drivers side for that vent hose, it catches some stuff but not nearly as much as the PCV CC.

That's what I ended up changing to not too long ago. 3 port catch can. I originally had it tee'd, but I was getting oil in the other tube that wasn't there before. And I just vent to atmosphere; it's clean enough, and a finger check to feel how much pressure there really is. Great to isolate out the crappy PCV valve too.

That actually makes the most sense, didn’t know they made a 3 port CC setup,
    Thanks

Have you looked at an oil IAG PERFORMANCE STREET SERIES AIR / OIL SEPARATOR?

I like this idea better as everything is recycled and there is no maintenance

I haven't. I probably could put one in pretty easily given how many coolant taps I have at this point, but there's the cost component..
Not a big deal to empty a catch can every oil change imo

He does bring up an interesting question though: can we vent our crankcase directly too? (our P"C"V is just valve covers)

I recently had a chance to take a look at my valves at 221k miles and they were perfectly clean. Literally NO build up at all on the back of any of the valves and I never ran a catch can. Having said that, the plenums do have an extremely thin oily film to them which I cleaned up with degreaser.

Having seen this now, I won't be installing a catch can like I have with my past vehicles. My old LS3 would catch about 7-8 tablespoons per 5k miles...and this was a brand new motor too.

Valves won't have an issue being sprayed with fuel. It's in intake up to the valves that get dirty.

Yeah but it was very minimal so much so that it was just a very thin film that you can't see but you can touch. It may be worse on vehicles with major blow by. I don't think I will see a major benefit for my vehicle.

Ya it's usually not a big deal, but it's a cheap upgrade for those like me who had nasty intake manifolds
