my puts are handsomely in profits and with CPI tomorrow i dont want to be caught with my pants down. Last CPI it dipped at open and bounced 1 million points up causing a gamma squeeze.
locking in profits and mitigating my risk.
$META is a day trade scalp for $140, $SPX and $SPY are 2-3 days hold.

$1.9k realized with my trim on $META, $SPY and $SPX, $2.5k unrealized. With my move on closing some of my puts, the worst that could happen is i get out with 1.9k instead of 4.4k.

 

so what are you looking at and i'll tell you both sides. i am very familair with $AMZN, before it split "it always DIES" on a friday. ALWAYS. if by thursday ti was at 2,700 it will spike on friday morning to about 2,730 and then will melt the rest of the day. excellent for selling call credit spread every friday, works 80% of the time.

i'm still following it now to load shares into my old folks account.

 

Not sure it's done falling.

 

if the market, macros /ES, /NQ, /RTY, /YM, keeps falling $AMZN will keep falling too. the macros are the tide that lifts the boats, $AMZN is just 1 of the boats in the macro tide.

That's why you spread your long term position OR buy a call you wish to exercise...
My friend bulk bought $NVDA 100 shares around $140 and I was like "Just do 5 a day for 20 days....you'll be far happier..." nope...He would have DCA around $120 instead of $140ish...if you're Loooooong maybe it won't matter but still...

5 shares a day for 20 days seems the safest...
