I got my 1st Christmas card yesterday. I mean it was from my eye doc and it had my appt reminder on the back BUT the front of the card was Christmas-y
No sammiches but I do have a fresh pot of italian sausage soup, fresh garlic cheese sticks AND there's brownies in the oven right now.

    @MQQSE italian sausage soup

    • 1 lb Italian ground pork sausage
    • 1 cup chopped onions
    • 3 cups chopped carrots
    • 1 tablespoon finely chopped garlic
    • 4 to 6 cups chicken broth
    • 1 can (19 oz) cannellini beans, drained, rinsed (or red kidney beans)
    • 1 can (28 oz) diced tomatoes, undrained
    • 2 teaspoons chopped fresh oregano
    • 2 teaspoons fennel seed
    • 1 bay leaf
    • 3/4 cup (3 oz) small ring pasta, such as ditalini or macaroni
    • 3 cups baby spinach, washed and coarsely chopped
    • 1 tablespoon olive oil
in a large pot brown the sausage. set aside to drain the grease
in same pot throw in the EVOO, garlic and onions. cook over medium to sweat the onions
    add the sausage back in
add the carrots, broth, beans, tomatoes and seasonings.
simmer until carrots are just about done.
pick out the bay leaf and add the pasta and spinach
might need to add a couple cups of water or more broth if the pasta soaks up too much
    simmer until pasta is done

i serve mine with a few parmesan crisps like WISPS or with some garlic bread.
makes about 6 good sized bowls.

ran to the grocery store after work - out of wine  - and since it was the first snow i've driven on with the new tires i took the scenic route. did a few hard stops/starts in 2wd and 4wd. Chebby did good. was only going maybe 25mph at the most but the only time the tires skidded or the ABS locked up at all was when i took a fast corner in 2wd. so far so good, always a little extra cautious with new rubbers until i know what to expect.

    Good Morning All!
I hope everyone is alive and kicking! I have to start shopping for tires as my Falken Wildpeaks are wearing down. I told myself when these tires need replacing I'd get wheels in 17" also but I don't see anything I like other than SCS Blaze 10s. But those are never in stock.

On a another personal note, I have a bout with Diverticulitis but found some antibiotics in my cabinet. I've said it before- getting old is fun, huh?!
