Jensonbt, thanks for the info. I got it a bit late on Saturday unfortunately. I ended up driving up towards Deadwood Reservoir and Cozy cove. Nothing crazy obviously BUT there was quite a bit of snow and mud which made it a bit more fun to drive.

I am on the AllTrails app looking for different ideas. Have any of you tried any of the trails they show there or have any personal experience with any of them by chance? (I tried to send a link but it keeps changing it from OHV/off-road friendly trails to hiking trails).

Dang M3, that is EXACTLY what I am looking for...a bunch of people getting together and hitting the trails! Looks awesome! How tough/long was the trail?

Just enough to look kinda cool.
About 5 hours and nothing to tough we had a stock 4Runner that made it through with some additional spotting.

The trail was easy to me. I tried to make it as interesting as possible. Stock truck can do it.

That's awesome! Well maybe next time I will be able to make it out there with you guys.

Ya M3, I assumed it was probably pretty mild for you and Jenson if a stock 4-Runner got through it lol

That is the kind of trail I am wanting to do my first couple times out...something fun that isn't going to jack up my truck lol

One word of advice which is very important this time of year, avoid the ohwyees when it rains. The mud is brutal and slick. I quick downpour can quickly turn graded roads into impassable soup.

Haha, believe it or not, that is one thing I am well aware of since I've lived about 20 minutes from them my entire life (other than my 12 years in the Marine Corps) lol
My issue now is that I have forgotten A LOT since then (just to put it out there, I have TBI which is why I forget) and I am TRYING my hardest to relearn things lol

Edit: I mean I have forgotten a lot about the Owyhees area since then :)

    Man, I didn't scare ya'll away did I? lol

M3/Jenson, do you know of any good specific trails in the Owyhees or is it more of a drive around and make your own fun? I've been out there a few times the past couple of months but really just hiked around, I didn't really drive around a lot.

I don’t have much experience out there but I believe it’s a lot of drive around and find out. Just make sure your prepared cause you can get stuck or uncomfortable and have to walk out. Ben would be the resident expert for that.

I don't play out there too much tbh. Look up succor creek, Leslie gulch, Jordan craters and birch creek historic ranch. Those are some tip attractions to see imo. Google will help with the roads. I don't know much about specific trails.

Well after who knows how long I finally went to 4 wheel parts and got a new winch controller. Now just gotta wait till it’s warm enough to throw it on.

I know, I’m probably going to end up in the shop at work again. Should slow me down long enough to get a proper mount figured out so I don’t break another set of smittybilt’s garbage aluminium mounts.
