Vehicle registration/title question… I'm looking at picking up a beater/project. Guy bought it from his grandma. When she bought it, she couldn't remember the mileage at the DMV, so they just wrote down 123k. Car actually has 91k on the odometer.

1) How much of a pain is it to get corrected?
2) Will the DMV just flag it as "INCORRECT" and cause issues down the road for me?

 

Is it in state or out of state title? Idk if that helps your situation or not, but when I bought my tundra with a Wyo title I had to go through the whole shebang to get it titled in CO, including putting down current mileage.

 

If I remember correctly, when you perform the title transfer, which will require a VIN verification, etc, you should be able to put what the current odometer mileage is on it. I did a VIN verification for a guy a while back selling a 1980's Chevy, said a kid bought the truck to fix up and he had to get the VIN verification to transfer the title to him. Since the name will update

I'm going with something like this, was like 20yrs ago had to get a VIN check on a mr2 or slowsuki sammy... o forget which but remember meeting a co state tropper to do it and the odo was logged correct to what it said. Either way both the mr2 & sam'o'i made it to the crusher

 

If the vehicle is titled/registered/plated out of state there has to be a VIN inspection.
When I drove my dad's, now mine, GMC plow truck from NH to Co it turned 36k on the odo. When I went to register it, the employee said, "you mean 136k". I explained that I have every date, mileage, and gallons of fuel put in this truck from brand new and it has not rolled over, so I would like the mileage to be correct on my Co title.

How old is it and is it a CO title? I think if it's a CO title vehicle approx 10 years or older it's mileage exempt and not reported on the title anymore

Have em check the top of the title, I bet it says "MILEAGE EXEMPT" or 0 instead of "xxxxx A" (for actual mileage)

 

Bezo's will deliver Rust-Oleum truck bed coating in a spray can to my door, but he won't deliver Duplicolor 1E3, says "cannot deliver to my address". Why? Both are in an aerosol can. They're both paint products.
Auto Zone carries both, so I can just go pick it up, but just wondering what the reasoning is.

The touch up paint pens are prohibited as well. Completely unpressurized.

 

Are all the products actually fulfilled by Amazon? Might be a case of different vendors having different shipping policies, or maybe they categorized the products differently (possibly in error).

 

Maybe is because of the paint and glue sniffers?

 

Any other automatic transmission 2nd gens in the front range need to do a transmission drain & flush?
I have Techstream set up to put the truck in the check level mode. Looking for someone to hang out in the garage as a sanity check while I drain, remove the pan, check/clean the filter, and then refill. It makes sense to do two trucks at once since it wouldn't be much more work.

 

I had the same issue (different paint code) I ended up having to order it in store from advance auto parts, I couldn't even order it through the app to be delivered to a store.

 

Started learning Greek today. While modern Greek is simplified compared to Ancient Greek, it’s still mind blowing right now.
