I’m not sure I understand the comparison because you could buy a Kia but still have to pay the same price at the pump.
There’s nothing forcing me to buy a specific vehicle but I definitely need one to work

"The market will “bare” whatever they decide to charge, and they also know that"
gas and new cars fit into this

I suppose, but new car sales will suffer if they raise the price too high won’t they? If the ‘24 Tacoma was still a 3rd gen but priced at $175k, would they reach their sales goals? My point is that everyone who owns a car has to pay whatever they charge and they can literally charge whatever they want. At a certain price point I’ll walk to work I guess, but I don’t have the option to buy used gas for less money.
The same isn’t true of new vehicles because there are other options. Apples to oranges imho. But I’m also not sure what youre trying to say by making the comparison. Should I not be whining about gas prices or record profits?

You've never driven a tuned vehicle, have you?

They also can correct for tires, but everything about the engine and drivetrain just feels so much better and happier with itself. On this truck the big thing is it fixes the awful factory auto transmission settings to make it not suck. On MTX it helps a grip with mpg and overall drivability. I don't know how to describe it exactly, but I've tuned my last 3 cars and once you do it it's something you can't go without.

Says the post you quoted is removed so I can't follow the content, but rubbing there would be fixed by wheels with lower offset / wheel spacers.

They should be fine, are you running stock size tires?
