that kit must be for the non-TSS version of the truck.

depending on the part number you get might no be the one with the TSS replacement that "wont be" compatible because the TSS would be aimed to high.

It is for the TSS trucks. You just don't get the grille or TSS sensor for the PRO grille. Either way the TSS should be calibrated after the lift is installed.

Thanks for the info, guys. I’ll look into the kit without the grill, and start looking for a dealer willing to do the install/calibration. Thanks again.

No, the sport rides the stiffest. or is softest

    Ya i was wrong

Bilstein 5100s ride softer than sport. Sport is probably stiffest suspension

Your truck looks great, I love that color. The lift that looks taller than the OEM lift kits I have seen in other photos. Did you install the 1" spacer, or use AAL or leaf replacements, and or use any front spacers? Also, would you mind posting the wheel center to fender dimensions of each corner?

    thank you
    Mike

So I've received 5 quotes from dealers in my area, with the lowest being $1750 (I asked them to confirm this includes parts and labor and the guy said yes) to the highest being $4000. The other 3 were around $3000. It makes no sense that these prices are so far apart.

If the dealers are quoting the whole TRD kit with the grill, sensors, shocks, blocks, sensor adjustment, brake cable guides and a wheel alignment, then the $3000 sounds about right (Way too much, but what a dealer would charge). The $4000 is way higher than is should be and the $1750 is MSRP for the kit only (No Install).

You can get the TRD kit on sale for around $1400 with free shipping, then pay your local shop to install everything for a total of about $2500 with alignment. If your dealer does the install your kit will be covered by the factory warranty, if someone else installs it, the warranty will be 12,000 miles and probably on the shocks only.

What dealer quoted you $1750 installed, parts and labor? Curious how close they are! :D

Battlefield Toyota in Culpeper, VA. I'm pretty sure the person who I spoke to was mistaken, even though I asked him to confirm that the price included labor.

    A few.
Thats the dealer where I bought my truck Lol. Wow prices have gone up. 3 years ago I paid $355.00 for all 4 Bilstein 5100s. U might want to check on the current price of those and buy your own lift blocks and u bolts or AAL somewhere else.

Yikes. Thats crazy. It looks like dealers are no longer selling just the shocks which, sucks for anyone looking to do the install themselves and don't need the extra bs. I looked up the part number on the Toyota site. "No longer available". This is what I paid earlier this year:

Looks like dealers are nixing the shocks only purchase. It's a shame. You used to be able to get shocks and rear blocks and you were set for under 5 bills.

FYI @TRDsport253 and anyone else, if you're interested in shocks only, it looks like you can order individually from BAM. Still way cheaper than that Ebay link you posted. That or just buy 5100's depending on the price. Part # reference is the same as the Toyota site.

Good call. Just don't sell them as a kit anymore.

22 Tacoma TRD Off Road - TRD lift kit, Bak Revolver X4S
It is just the kit with the 1in block in back. The height is probably just the angle as I was slightly downhill from the truck. If you are still interested in the dimensions I can do that but it will be a week or so.
