    Brand new.
I have Sirius, I paid for it for one year at 6.88 a month , i heard from my wife at the end of that one year promo it goes to 24.99 a month, not a chance will i pay for that, i will miss Sirius and the 039 Hair Nation station, and will go back to plain old radio and apple music and Pandora since i have unlimited data. They can piss up a rope if they think i will pay for it, BS. i get bombarded with enough emails now as it is. daily emails abut junk channels.

I got them to stop calling me. I lit them up pretty good. I got a 3 month trial when I bought my truck. They kept calling throughout the trial to see how I liked it and I told them every time, it doesn't work. There's some issue and my truck won't connect. None of them did a damn thing to even attempt to fix it until 5 days before the trial was up. The guy fixed it (it was something on their end they never activated), they wouldn't extend the trial but then still had the nerve to ask if I wanted to pay for the service. I told them my thoughts, it didn't even work for the 'free trial', why would I even consider paying for the service? I haven't heard from them since.

Spotify is 10/mo individual, 16/mo family (that's what wife and I are on).

I don't give a rip about sirius. I happily pay that much to not listen to radio. Way too many advertisements on radio, and the problem is there aren't enough. So you get the same advertisement, sometimes in the same ad block, multiple times, and they're all obnoxious, so you get annoyed, multiple times an hour, thanks to radio. And can't skip, etc. etc. etc.

I don't love having multiple subscriptions/ect, but (it sounds like spotify may be increasing next year) 20/mo for how much both of us use Spotify, that's worth it.

Eh I claim poverty and they lower their costs. Not a big deal. I listen to a few “stations “ that actually have zero commercials so there is that.

I cant actually listen to radio as my antenna rusted out inside the fender and gets zero reception. Now I use my phone as data for my android radio using Spotify, pandora, and youtube

I have Sirius in my Van, Tacoma, and Stupid Duty.
I cover a lot of ground, and deal with crappy cell signal frequently.

And they don't play anything I listen to on the radio.

I'd HATE to see my data usage streaming during my drives....

I own a 1971 Triumph TR6 and took it into get it inspected about 15 year ago. The mechanic needed to take it out for a test drive for some reason but no other vehicle being inspected needed to be driven farther than where it was parked to inside the garage. Then he put it up on the lift and failed it because it had an oil leak and a hole in the sheet metal underneath. Those cars leaked oil when they were driven off the lot new and "hole" was a half circle cut out at the bottom of a rocker panel that did not go into the passenger compartment and was there from the factory to allow any moisture to not be trapped inside the rocker panel. Not to mention they had passed the same car at the same place the year before. I mentioned each of these things but it did no good. I drove it out and down to the next garage where it passed with no issues. I have not been back to that auto parts store or garage since.

Music feed: I am very happy with YouTube Music. No ads. It's a "freebie" with a YouTube Premium.

Premium eliminates ads on YouTube, and to me is worth every penny.

I can usually get it for $70/year. FM Radio is terrible where I am. Albany's stations are garbage, there's basically nothing local, and the Springfield area has good stations but they're just out of reach. It's nice to just be able to turn something on.

If you pay them (youtube, spotify, etc) you can download them. I don't let spotify/youtube access cell networks, wifi only. Things download and I get to listen to them on the road.

I USED TO have a BBC podcast with a daily news thing, it would download before I left for work and I'd just hit play. It was 15 minutes, for a 15 minute commute, it was great. Now I have a 14 second commute

    https://www.reddit.com/r/spotify/comments/pbal6x/youtube_music_vs_spotify_sound_quality/

I don't know what 99% of this means.

    upload_2022-11-10_13-19-2.jpg

I have youtube + as well. Or whatever it's called. For the same reason, ads. Have for about a year or two now. The playlists/"curated" lists on Spotify are a lot "better", more of them, more active, etc. But, it's been a while. I might give YT another whack. If it works, could drop spotify. Same deal though, + lets me download it so I don't have to deal with streaming.

And spotify has podcasts integrated. Which is nice. Rather than have another app for them.

It is a good 20-footer. I have accumulated a spare frame and most of the bits and pieces needed for a restoration. I just need to find the time to actually do it. A647AEB1-1ACB-4FF9-A2F3-E2BCE23C1663.jpg

Oh I still got my ass chewed about doing it, but it wasn't like she could make me return it though. To be honest I booked it all the same week we knew we were going vehicle shopping for her so my timing sucked.

Music..I have CDs and a flash drive that has some of my rare/out of print stuff. That's all I need, if the sudden urge for a song hits I can worst case find it on Youtube

My Uncle used to work for Bob Sharp Nissan as a salesperson. He told me the story of how he bought a used 510 race car and found a good, independent, unknown mechanic and they proceeded to race at Lime Rock back in the day. Seems he did well enough that he started getting funny looks from the boss like maybe he ought to not be racing so well. As he tells it the money ran out before he could become too much of a pain. About 5 years ago I was able to check off one of my buck list items by going to Lime Rock when they had a vintage race weekend. The featured marquee was the Bugatti. I was quite entertaining to see how slow old Bugatti's go around the track compared to other cars there but also quite remarkable how well they did considering how old the cars were. And the drivers of those cars were getting IN TO IT! Racing hard, but not swapping paint. One car did spin off the track but did not flip and the driver started up the car and drove back on the track to finish the race. Nothing quite like watching cars worth a quarter million dollars whipping around the track!

True story I had 72 challenger where I replaced the hood. Front facia and left fender. Everything was fine except I didn’t bother with 4 headlamps. Well I failed inspection AT DMV. So I went around the building to one of their closed garage doors. Did the bottom panel at 25 feet trick. Went back in an the inspector asked what garage did the work. I said I did. Failed again. This time because the car wasn’t adjusted with an opthro whateverthefuck machine. I jumped in went to another DMV an passed without saying a word. Some people take their job way too seriously
