Bare metal primer, self etching or epoxy? real world experience, please no google links, I'm quite capable of that myself, that's why I'm asking for what worked for you. It seems self etching has a tendency to lift or bubble with some paints or surfaces.
Normally I use plain primer with lousy results.

I wipe down the bare metal with acetone and a green pad, then
I use self etching on the bare metal followed by rustoleum.

    Ive never had a problem

We could flush your 1st gen steering rack. I still have my setup with the correct size brass join to like 3 feet of clear PVC in the correct diameter for manually flushing 1st gen power steering fluid…
This is very tempting… I was going to offer a spot next to my truck in a 2-car garage, but a lift may be nicer… I wonder how long it will take for the transmission fluid to cool down enough after the hour drive to you. I need to decide if I care to do a shift kit at the same time or just flush since I took the supercharger pulley one step back to a little less boost.

A buddy of mine use monsta liner as the top coat for his front bumper. It's DIY roll/brush on like linex. I just rattle canned Rust-Oleum for My slider/skids. But recently discovered brake parts cleaner can strip it pretty quick, the self etching primer stayed though.

Hope everyone’s you’re doing well. Reaching out for some re gear advice.

    Truck Specs:

    2015 TRD OR DCSB 4x4
    4.0L
    Automatic
    Stock rear E-Locker

Currently running 34s. They weigh 59 lbs each. Plan to move to 35s eventually. They weigh 63 lbs.

I’ve added steel front and rear bumpers, winch, steel bed rack (no RTT), and sliders. Maybe 450-500 lbs total counting the fact that each tire is 25 lbs heavier than stock (100 lbs total) but not accounting for their additional rolling resistance, just their additional weight.

I’m torn between 4.88s and 5.29s. Any input would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

    4.88s IMO. They're tall enough.
Don't know a ton about 2nd gens but "5.29s if you never want to see 60mph again" Seems like a fair comment to me

I just did 4.88s with 35s on my '07 auto. I was told not to do 5.29s unless you're towing a lot or if you're running 37s.

If you hold a PO Box in SD, that's a form of residence and all you need to register in state.

Better have a good story, I remember co-workers getting "busted" when pulled over with CO licenses but out of state plates. Don't recall what the fines were, but they also had 30 days to get CO plates.

If you notice in that story, all their examples were living in Mexico
