Just had a woman today try to buy a bluetooth speaker I'm selling on fb, only to hit me with this shit after I had it all boxed up and ready to ship

 

The heck is that?

I've never sold anything via FB MP that was shipped, only local. I'd hate to see the issues that stem from those transactions.

i think it all boils down to people's ability controlling impulsivity. Everyone looking at shit they can't afford just to feel better about themselves

Ya I've sold plenty of stuff on FB marketplace. Don't use the built in shipping feature though. It doesn't work for shit. I just ship stuff separate and have them paypal or venmo me.
You do get the occasional scammer like that one, but they're usually pretty easy to spot early on. Although I was surprised because I think it was an actual person on the other end. Not the typical bot talk

 

I mean I was selling it for $25 so they must be down real bad if that's what they were chasing

But not like @Wulf would've shipped anything out without getting paid first anyway which would show up on the actual Venmo/Paypal account versus a scam email from a personal email.

Yup. Ive had idiots try to get me to sell stuff and they tell me to download venmo. As soon as I tell them no, they stop communicating.

Its a scam.
