I sent out a feeler email the other night to someone advertising a 4x4 first gen for 2800 bucks. I was 99% sure it was a scam, but I figured what the hell. This is what I got back

Hi, the truck is still available for sale, the price for the truck is $2,800, destination charges are included in the final price, which means that the shipping is included. As you've probably already seen on my craigslist ad, I decided to lower the price, to avoid wasting time with negotiations and find a buyer as soon as possible. Few words about the truck: 1999 TOYOTA TACOMA 4x4, 6-cylinder engine, automatic transmission, the truck has 146k miles. in great shape, no engine problems, oil changed properly. The truck has always been stored inside. I have a clear title for it.

Anyway, I want to tell you that I am currently on a trip for UNICEF, that's why I chose to sell my truck over the internet and suggested using ebay for completing this deal. I've already included the truck into ebay vehicle purchase protection, so I will sell ONLY through this. If you want to buy the truck, I can give you a detailed description of the ebay vehicle purchase protection. Thanks, Jessica Mitchell

I mean, come on. UNICEF, this ebay nonsense. If I am being scammed, I'd at least like it to be an original scam...

Now if you excuse me, I'm off to the bank to collect my winnings from the Nigerian lottery.

Wouldnt ebay actually protect your buy though IF it were on ebay?
