This is awesome news! Finally something positive happening. It may not be much, but I hope it relieves a little bit of the frustration you've been going through. Fingers crossed brother!!

To have this much evidence you would think this would be such a no brainer.

Yeah I think it forced DHL to settle. And the police have been coming from the opposite side, at the same time, which I think is prompting them to act.

Even though it sounds like you'll get it fixed back to OEM still consider a steel bumper. I actually have great piece of mind in these type of situations with front & rear steel bumpers, and sliders. I have had a few doors hit the sliders hard and it doesn't even scuff em. I also had a young teen girl hit my front bumper with her older pos civic as I was sitting in my truck eating lunch in a parking lot while she was backing out. Scared the piss out of me but pretty much just ended up with a scuff while her rear bumper buckled underneath my front and was fubar. We both got out and she was nervous and upset and I just told her go on her way, I wasn't going to report it since I didn't sustain any damage. If I had a stock bumper it would have been a different story and ruined my day.

Now when I get into a high speed frontal accident and die a fiery death because the bumper didn't crumple like an OEM, then you guys can shake your heads in disapproval, and wish me God speed in Taco heaven.

Im still contemplating this honestly. I’ve always liked the look of the ARB front bumpers.

Surprised DHL doesn’t audit their trucks for damage regularly.

I’m glad you contacted DHL, it keeps the evidence fresh and an opportunity to come clean. There’s no denying that puzzle piece matches the one missing from the truck lol. You should really consider only going with a certified Toyota collision center. https://www.toyota.com/owners/parts-service/collision-center

Let’s just say I’ve been to their facilities when they used to be in Torrance California, their equipment and knowledge is far above what an average body shop has or does. Toyota wants their cars repaired to a certain specification and who better than the manufacturer shop to repair it.

This is what I asked for initially and now I’ll be requesting ONLY Toyota certified repair shops. Looks like the standard repair shops don’t have availability until late February anyway. After reading the website link you sent it makes a ton more sense why you would go with a Toyota certified shop. I’ll probably have them just ship it from Reno to Auburn for repairs

So glad to see some accountability. Be picky with the repairs. Make sure they are 100% right before accepting it back. Take a flash light and check behind the headlight and inside the fender as much as possible. Having been a used car recon tech at a Toyota dealership I have seen ALOT of shoddy repair work.

    Another DHL delivery..Uh oh.
All kidding aside, I'd bet good money DHL will pay up.
And believe me she got canned.

Unless she's management, DHL isn't going to fire a female manager who was out making deliveries.

I guess she had only been there for a year. She’s gone unfortunately. But yeah should have come forth when it happened and she’d still be employed

My quote was not nearly as bad as I thought it would be. Working on getting scheduled with auburn collision center and hopefully it will be fixed by Jan-Feb
