I could understand it if it were a slip fit for a 1/4” dowel, but not for a bolt.

Remains to be seen I bought the tires and wheels the rest came along

Because they are clueless and have no idea what a .002 tolerance even means.

    It sounded good!!

I have 3 push shovels and a long handle grain shovel. Didn't need the grain shovel today but it'll get plenty of use, usually from the plow going by.

Shoveling towards the south wasn't bad but to the north with the wind in your face wasn't enjoyable.

    I need coffee STAT!

Ten feet is a bit much but I know what you mean. Almost went down 4 times shoveling.

I'm sure wearing untied tennis shoes in no way contributed to that.

Am I a veteran if I got injured and kicked out after 6 months of 'active duty' (basic training) with the NG? VA says no. I came out with jacked up hips and no medical benefits because I didn't meet the minimum 1 year of enlistment at the time. I enlisted in September 2012, shipped to basic January 2013, discharged in June 2013. :bananadead: I went to drill every month before shipping as well.
I don't feel like a vet, I didn't do jack diddly but go through my entire cycle and fail APFT standards because I was on crutches for like a month, then had to do a walk to run program so I was on light PT for all that time and failed pushups. Pushups of all things. I was still maintaining my run times with my hips grinding away....
I feel like I got robbed of my ability to serve by the cruel hand of fate. It was probably just God telling me it wasn't for me.

    Many Thanks!

My departure from SoCal/LA was April 1, 1986. I had 8 assignments in 25 years...met my wife on first overseas assignment to England. Made a career of my service.

Served/toured in England, Germany & Italy.

45-Day TDY to Saudi Arabia right after Khobar Towers explosion (1996)
365 TDY to Kirkuk, Iraq (2007-08)
Other short TDYs: Paris, France / Crete, Greece / Zaragoza, Spain / Kurat, Thailand / Lulea, Sweden / Incirlik, Turkey

I planted my roots in Dover, DE at my 20 year mark (2006) when I made E7. At the time, HYT was 26yrs for E7 and it was changed to 24yrs in 2010.

So glad we bought our home when we did! It's been a great investment and our adult/married daughters come over on weekends and spend time with us.

Very blessed for family/health/employment and the good people here on TW.

NOTE: TDY = Temporary Duty, HYT = High Year Tenure

Being self employed has just different BS.

Because now your dealing with everything do it yourself or pay to have it done.

Monthly or Quarter Tax payments , insurance of all types .

What business would you plan on doing??

I had the thickest ice I had ever seen last year, easily 2 - 3" thick on the sidewalks, I went through 150 pounds of ice melt on just one property - along with 2+ hours of chipping/shoveling/tempting an ambulance call.

Fortunately I found a small fertilizer spreader on the side of the road with a free sign last fall, works perfect for ice melt and since it is all plastic it won't rust. It rode around in the back of the daily van with my shovels and bags of ice melt all winter.
