Finally got my name on an allocation for a truck to be built in early December! It’s exactly what I want other than it comes with the Toyota hard tonneau and it’s white. I prefer silver but a silver DCSB OR with premium, tech and AT seems to be a unicorn. Only a couple silver have popped up within 500-600 miles of me and they’ve been manuals with the advanced tech.

Deposit down 4/27. 199 days for an allocation.

Just for clarity, that's not my truck. I just knew what it was because it was added on the truck I am looking to buy. I was able to trim the accessory bloat and have it, along with others, removed.

Received mine this week, 4 months+ after putting money down. Delay after delay but here she is!

 

While most dealers aren't willing to- they can drop port adds prior to port arrival.
They will say they can't, say it's too late...
I had over $3000 in port adds dropped from my 2021.

 

What’s it mounted to? The bed is plastic … so I’m not sure if it’s structural enough for a massive metal piece

My dealer was honest with me. Said, "Sometimes we make it in time, sometimes we miss the cutoff. We can try to remove what you don't want." A week later he emailed me to confirm that they dropped the running boards and door edge guards. Who the fuck puts running boards on a TRD Pro? If anyone wants an introduction to a no-nonsense salesman that keeps me informed of the truck's status let me know.
