Loved the soup recipe for the sausage soup.. I'll have to try making it when I get home. Nothing like a hot bowl of good soup on a cold winter day:thumbsup:.

Agree with having a sense of humor Lisa. I am not looking forward to the weather when I get home. Mid 60's to 70 here down under and calling for 40's at home. I'll need the soup for sure:thumbsup:. I took a screen shot of the recipe and have it saved in a safe file:D. Thanks.
Have a good night and morning (it's 12:25 PM here so I'll wish you both day and night:rolleyes:) and be safe in the snow. It's the other person driving in snow  I have concerns about as I'm sure you do as well.

    The Lonely Hill

Wild grow the poppies in Tunisian vale
Gracing the green of a fertile land
And here comes "Peace" to lay her veil
On the hill of the foes last stand. .

Out of the Plain reared the lonely hill
Like a breast bared to the sky
Its slopes clasped the fallen ever still
And its bosom echoed the swallow's cry. .

Small sanctuary of a fallen dream
    Last bastion to Enfidaville
Your crumbled fort is a desolate scene
Where all but the winds are still. .

The winds will rise and the tall grass bend
To ripple like waves of the sea
And time will take the scars to mend
On the lonely hill of the free.

Meh ... good above 2000' ... winds have blown a lot away in the valley. Crazy 40°Fs over 30°Fs temps this week are gonna make it stupid slushy/"greasy" this week, too warm. :censored: 37°F out here at cabin yesterday; parked Stitch on 30° slight slope, truck slid back short a couple times before it settled solid in the soft snow melt. Cabin sits at 1000'. Hmmm ... Fickle Witch.:notsure:

Singapore should be interesting ... look forward to your report. Have a wonderful time and safe travels. :)
Time out here on the mountain always clears my head and Yoshi is enjoying his time running with the pack. I think he'd be happy to stay out here full time and have me visit him...but I don't think Kristi would go for that plan. ;)

Stay safe and healthy Big Brother :fistbump:

What was forecasted, and was when I came off the mtn, rain ... turned into a heavy wet snow when I woke up. Drive was not bad as long as I stayed away from the idiots. Rescued a dude walking in a blowing snowsquall on base between the Army side and Air Force side (unpopulated section of base). When I saw him it was a "WTF is this dude doing out here in this shit" moment. Turns out he's a retiree Veteran who was winterizing his truck in a storage lot on base and then leaving for a construction job in Singapore. He got surprised by the snowsquall just like the rest of us. Took him to the Visitor Center at main gate so he could get a Uber to Anchorage airport. Saved him a 5 mile hike in a snowsquall ... hopefully banked a little karma.
