    Just to clarify:
If you are on the KDMax-Pro+XT, the update to 9.0 is free.
If you are on an older version like 6.0, 7.0, or Pro, the update is still $100.

Also, the tuners around the country will charge for travel and time for any service.

So how do u find out if last person who did my tune who now tunes for somebody else registered my vin? I’m good with $100 but if I’m gonna have to pay $80 on top of that plus drive an extra hour and a half I’d be better off and save time going another direction

We can work it out. I’ll make sure you’re $100 or less. Just have him call me if needed.

Yes if you were tuned 3 months ago you should be on the Pro+XT. Check with your tuner he should have a record of when and what tune was flashed to your truck.

what kind of power/torque increases are you getting over the XT with the 9.0? Or is it mainly just smoother shifting?

The KDMax-Pro-9.0 is an improved version of the KDMax-Pro+XT. We were able to find improvements with the recent upgrades in Vftuner.
    - Throttle is smoother
    - Shifting was adjusted to keep the truck in the power band and improve MPGs
    - Torque maps were optimized to keep power throughout, especially on the low end
    - Cruise Control was optimized for better shifting on the highway

Just saw this news of the update.

Been on Pro +XT since August with normal throttle. One thing I have noticed is when moving from a stop. Like in a parking lot or other environment when your not going to a speed of 35 or 45 mph, I get some bucking or surging. Seems like a throttle tip in issue to me. I read and noticed several mentions of more linear throttle response. So am I correct in assuming that addresses some of what I’ve been experiencing?

I made the jump from +xt to 9.0 and TWTaco nails the upgrades in the new tune.

9.0 is a better tune than +xt, and I was very happy with +xt….

Except for the cruise control, which was still a POS on +xt. It is so nice having a normal, functioning cruise control. No more crazy downshifts and upshifts.

Yeah I got to use CC last weekend and was pleasantly surprised it held on to 5th for most of the grades up I was driving on. There were a few instances it stayed in 4th way too long but I gave it time to figure itself out and it got better

Good to know @TWTaco . I’m loving the kdmax pro+xt on my 2017 . It’s just so perfect for me . It was even great on our long road trip couple months ago but this update is very tempting. 5th and 6th feels right for me .I’ll be doing lots of thinking lol. You and @PapaRee are great.

I just got upgraded to the 9.0. I didn't think that it could get any better, but the throttle is smoother, and the truck feels stronger.
    And...............
THE TRUCK IS ALOT BETTER WITH THE CRUISE CONTROL ON!!!!!!!!!
It's about time! It definitely holds 5th gear longer, and when it did downshift to 4th, it didn't stay there long.
    I'm really happy with it.

This is how it felt when I was on PRO +XT normal. I changed it to Lite and it was perfecto for me. I flash my own truck so I switch between lite and normal throttle...I'm now on 9.0 but I haven't tried the Normal throttle yet. It's now "winter" here so I probably stay on Lite until the snow is gone.
And Yes, all better with 9.0
I also use my ECT with MESO pro shift knob button. The ECT feels just like the "Normal" throttle tip in.
