Stouts are by far my favorite pairing with a smoke.

I've tried bourbon and a lot of times it brings out more acidic flavors unless it was a bourbon that was naturally sweet. I need to experiment more this winter.

Went to a lounge last night, first time at this place. They have a box of OpusX 20th anniversary sticks for $120 each. Needless to say I took a pic and then grabbed a La Gloriana Cubana for $16. My friend is a member so we proceeded to the back half where there were chairs, TVs, a regulation size poker table, a bar (BYOB), a wall of lockers, and a golf simulator with a 15’ projection screen. Coolest part of this lounge: when they close up the retail shop up front they lock a door that connects to the member lounge & we’re left there for as long as we’d like to stay. There’s a 1 way door to get out to the parking lot when we’re ready to leave. Pretty cool to not be pressured to leave when the proprietor is ready to go home for the day.

Always wanted to try the NUB Connecticut so when Famous ran a sale two days ago I picked up a 5 Pack for $19.39 and a $10 off that coupon, you can’t beat that! Tried one just now, it was very good even without sitting in the humidor a while. But I gotta say, its a little weird smoking something that’s that good all the way down to the end. A couple times with the cigar being right under my nose, I inhaled the smoke from the lit end while talking a draw.
(I do have a prominent proboscis!)

Following a post on short and stubby Nubs I grabbed the polar opposite out of the humidor this morning with a long and skinny lancero.

The Espinosa Habano is a great medium strength blend. I usually have some of robustos of the blend in the humidor that I will pair with coffee on days where I have a need for something a little stronger than a Connecticut wrapper. Cigar Aficionado gave the lancero a bit of love not long ago and I agree with them on this one.

Shrunken Pumpkin for Halloween weekend. Got 3 of these in a sampler 2 years ago and haven’t seen them anywhere since. A great little cigar.

The Pinks are really hard to find in the wild. Some good options for a Fuente Friday.

    Excellent choices.

Haven't had that Stout, but there's a brewery in San Diego, I think, called Belching Beaver. They make an awesome PB Milk Stout. Guinness is my all time favorite, but I always like to try new Stouts when I find them. *Especially* nitrogenated Stouts. I hate carbonation, which is why I rarely drink beer (or soda). The first time I tried Guinness, I knew the world had changed, but it wasn't until years later that I understood the full reason. The incredible power and flavor of a Stout was part of it. The other was no carbonation (in Guinness).

Yeah I love stouts, but I also enjoy IPA’s and everything in between.

    Wow. Fairly priced too.

I’d be floored just finding one opened box of Pinks for selling singles. Feeling the need to scout my local B&M this weekend to see if any hard-to-find sticks on offer. The DTT Stilwell Star Xmas blend is one I’d like to try too.

I’ve had a couple of these La Gloria Cubana Pasión sticks and I’m really digging them. My buddy got a big ol 70 ring gauge baby leg.

Definitely! I was in Tacoma for a business conference in June but there weren’t any cigar places nearby unfortunately. I should be back there next June.

Did pay a visit to my B&M and they’re not a top tier Fuente distributor (which makes sense since they’re an official Drew Estate lounge) so no Pinks today. They did surprise with an open box of the new Tatuaje Drac Redeux in the humidor which I didn’t manage to get on release day selling out quickly and picked up a pair of singles so managed to get one of my unicorns today.
