Alright I'm stuck, I installed a front bumper (2 18w led lights) on a 2 lead harness capable of 300 watts

Rear bumper ( 1 18w led light 1 20w led light on each side) on a 2 lead harness capable of 300 watts.

I finally got switches that fit and the blow every time I switch them on.

I've checked all the wiring and connections, nothing is loose or exposed.

Each harness has a built in relay and I have an on-line fuse on each harness.

Checked that power and ground are tight.

Never had this happen before when wiring up light, kinda confused

Test the relays, switches and lights on a separate fused battery that is in no way connected to your truck. But first see if there’s any continuity between hot and ground when the lights are disconnected as well as the switches. There’s a short in the hot (+) part of the circuit somewhere.

Also each light is running about 3A, so what are you connecting the harness to and what size fuses are you using?

You have a dead short somewhere.

Isolation of parts is one starting point

IE, if you remove the switch and jump the wires, what happens?

I have a 25 amp fuse in the in-line. That's what blows as soon as I turn the switch on. Lights up then goes out.

Positive harness connection to positive battery terminal.

Negative harness to bolt near battery on side of fender.

Your replay has 4 input. What are they going to?
Ground, Power(Direct to battery), to device(lights), and 1 should go to an your fuse box (like your wiper or tail light)

Some people skip the fuse box/taping into ignition and go direct to the battery.

Your switch most likely has 3 wires going to it...where are they going?
Do you have instructions for anything?

    What did you do?

Are you saying you have two separate circuits? One in the front with two lights, a harness, switch, and relay? And another in the back with its own separate switch harness and relay?

And that both of them popping their respective 25A fuse?

Sounds like you miswired something in the harness.

Can you description the best you can how you wired the lights?

Take a picture of the battery connection, the relay, and the light connection.

Also, do you own a test light or a voltage meter?

If that’s the case, is very likely you wired something wrong.

I'll have to check what's going where on the relay in the morning.

I wires the Caliraised switch just as suggested based on the site. Screenshot_20221111_184339_Chrome.jpg Screenshot_20221111_184358_Chrome.jpg

That helps some, but not enough.
Unless your green wire is connected to the fuse that is blowing, it’s not the switch.

Will it blow if all the lights are disconnected?

I found the relay that came with the kit. I'll cross reference everything is going to the right place in the morning

I'll also double check all the connections from the lights to the harness

Be sure to trace the daisy chain of positive to negative connections completely in both circuits to verify they never cross. Don’t assume that wire color means the same polarity across different suppliers. Feel along the harnesses length to see if there are any butt joints hidden inside. I’ve come across these and if positive and negative joints aren’t staggered you can get a short.

I just double checked all the connections, nothing is reversed. Nothing is touching metal.
Although now the front doesn't even blow or turn on, the rear lights is still blowing

Next to last picture. You have a hot (red) lead coming off the battery spliced into a black (normally ground) wire.

Oh, and lose the wire nuts. They have no place in an automotive application.

In the picture below. Where is the black wire going?
And why did you tie the 2 reds together?

One red is trigger to relay.
The other is power for the light in the switch.

The black is only used to ground the light in the switch.

The wire nuts are temporary till my T splices get delivered.

The black wire spiced to the red positive is actually the inline fuse, they only had black wired one at the store.
