I'm trying to get my Hella 500's wired up, but I can't seem to figure out how to send the wires through the firewall to my switch. I've located a rubber plug with a bunch of wires going through it on the floor behind the clutch. The clutch however, is making it difficult for me to tinker around up there and figure it out. Anyone have any pointers?

There are other rubber grommets you can pass the wires thru, if that one is overcrowded.

Now do you have to pop the grommet out or just "smash" the wires through?

I useually poke a small hole tru it first, then push the wire thru. I use a lond peice of bailing wire, and tape the wires Im gonna use to it. Then, after I push the bailing wire thru, I pull the wires thru from the other side.

Ok.. that makes sense. I suppose that way it still creates a fairly tight seal around the wires. I guess I'll look around and see if I can find a more accessible spot to send them through.

yup. i use a straightened coathanger and tape the wire to the hanger on one end, so when you push the hanger through the wire goes with it. its a tight fit, but you can make it work

Yep, I used the same place as netmonkey. Poke the hanger through, tape the wires and pull! Just tape it up real good. You could even make a U at the wire end, so that they "hook" each other, and pull it through. It'll make it a little tougher since its now thicker, but still works. Either way, you'll be good though.
