I’d fear more for that person to come back and fuck up the truck or the house more. We’re in wild times

Being an LTL truck driver, I can tell you that with the driver shortage, depending on the damage amount, I might get a 3 day unpaid vacation if I reported such an incident immediately. Not reporting and my boss finding out by a call from someone's insurance or better still, the police, I would be fired on the spot. My employer dislikes insurance claims, they despise dishonesty.

All my rigs are purpose built. From crawling to camping. I also enjoy a nice stock truck for what that’s worth. Toyota’s are the jam!
Sucks, but don’t think on it too much. Things happen that are out of your control.
I had a lady side swipe my 2hr old ‘18 taco at the gas station. I was pumping gas and felt my car move a little…looked over and a lady was squeezing her car between the pumps.
Both her and her daughter looked at me with this OOps look…the striping was minimal from her mirrors, but GD it was the first tank of gas in it.
I took it wheelin that weekend and didn’t give 2 shits if it got pinstriped. Lol

A suspension upgrade is mandatory. Then you realize it doesn’t look right with stock tires and rims. Unless you’re committed then …

Errr. Yeah, she didn't report it to management. It's sad. You don't want to see someone losing a job, and accidents do happen. But when they do, best not to hide them, specially when you're in a role involving driving / deliveries.

So do you know if the police took the incident research forward and contacted DHL? Are you still in possession of the plastic pieces?

You've gotten the confirmation that the collision place is going to use only OEM parts? When you get the estimate for repairs, are you going to apply for diminished value?

    Sorry for the many questions.

Make sure you make a safe copy or two of that video on a different media device.

Im going to use this place:
    Auburn Collision Center
560 Nevada Street, Auburn, CA 95603(78 mi)

All OEM parts regardless as my insurance and DHL covers OEM parts.

golden legacy here in Reno made an estimate of 2,750 parts labor and paint. So we will see what auburn collision’s estimate is.

lastly, yes I’m already in the process on a diminished value claim and DHL is aware of this. Hopefully all goes well with all of the above :)
