    Thanks for the videos @arcenik!

I’m curious if the unit can be configured to run a front and rear camera simultaneously? I have an 06 and it doesn’t have cameras at all. I was curious about running a cheater wheeling setup where I could see obstacles on the trail. Being able to see 2 images on the screen would be pretty cool…

You will need an external video splitter box. Something like I linked below.

4-Channel Car Video Splitter Controller - Digital Picture Video Signal Switcher with Quad Selectable for Backup Camera Video Monitor Systems CCTV Camera, PAL/NTSC Auto Adapting - Pyle PLVSPLT41 https://www.amazon.com/dp/B084G9RR14

Well, sure I could definitely do it that way. I’ve seen that used with other head units. My question was more to the fact that since the unit has front and rear camera inputs, if the settings to the reconfigured to run them any time simultaneously without any external device.

I went though all the settings and options and I cannot find a way to view the rear camera without activating reverse. On the old unit you could go to Aux and get the rear camera but on this one you can't. the only option would be to use a device like mentioned.

I also wanted to make a correction to the video. The AC button does work to turn off the compressor. It just does not work in low(as someone pointed out in the YouTube comments). As long as you are one temp setting above low you can turn off the compressor using the AC button.

So being that there’s a front camera input, how is that activated?

Also, I’m wondering if you could put a toggle switch in the reverse circuit to run it anytime.:notsure:

Aucar is also working on an update for the Carauto app to fixed the split screen cutoff and reloading of the CarPlay.

I have also been testing the vivid launcher on the screen. With this launcher it actually hides the bottom ac controls. This works great if you don't use CarPlay and just use a hotspot or 4g.

Im going to make a video comparing the different launchers.

The front camera would be though the Aux input. There is an app to show the input.

If you use something like the Pyle PLVSPLT41 mentioned above you could connect this to the Aux input. It could then show all the cameras at once.

So this unit, much like the first, definitely has its glitches too. Given mine has all the glitches worked out of it now I’ll keep it it a bit longer and see what happens next year when Apple overhauls the carplay app. I’m curious to see what effects, if any, that has on these units given they are going to make it more integratable with cars systems. It probably won’t affect older vehicles much at all but newer ones will have features such as digital hvac controls and ability to change the look of your odometer and such right through their app. Looks to be like some interesting upgrades for newer vehicles.

Hey guys, Ive had one installed since January and love it for what i use it for. This morning my backup camera stopped working. Screen just says "no signal." Haven't dug into it yet as i work crazy hours and have little down time. Has anyone had this issue and can point me in the right direction. I don't do any off-roading just use my truck as my daily, thanks for any help.

Yes I had this problem. It wasn't the head unit it ended up being a bad video wire so I replaced it and haven't had any issues. I'm a daily driver too.

Thanks for the quick response, can you give me a little more information regarding the video wire, location and where you got a replacement from? Thanks!

Probably should've gave a little more information, sorry. 2015 TRD sport automatic with the factory backup camera.

I just bought a new camera and rewired it. I went to best buy. Sometimes the wires on the camera just stop working.

Can you tell me how to get to best buy and how many miles you drove? Were you able to back out with no camera?

Thanks, I'm gonna take a guess and say your camera is aftermarket, mine's factory I forgot to mention that.

Yes it is it's a metra. I'm not sure about factory. If you don't have a best buy near you any auto or electronic store will carry one. I used a licence plate camera and now it works great now. You can go to best buy. Com and they will send you one. Or Amazon is cheeper.

Thanks, maybe I'll go that route if I can't get the factory one working. Figured I ask here in cause anyone had a similar issue with the radio and factory camera.

I would check the RCA connection on the back of the unit first. It should be labeled CCDV. Maybe it came loose.
