    I "liked" your post, but I do NOT like your post. My condolences. And your situation is almost identical to me, as I'm typing this with my laptop skewed sideways as to not disrupt my daughter's Chihuahua we rescued about 2.5 years ago sound asleep on my lap and fully content. Never thought I'd be that guy, but here we are. I love this little thing so much. Our other dog is my Vizsla that goes for 10+ mile runs with me and hikes 14k foot mountains, but dang, this little Chihuahua loves me like there is no tomorrow. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.

    All my rigs are purpose built. From crawling to camping. I also enjoy a nice stock truck for what that’s worth. Toyota’s are the jam!
    Chihuahuas, are a spunky little breed. I have never had one, but my gma did. I remember Fido giving everyone hell when they came to visit her. H e ever had an issue with me, we were tight. Probably the chicken I was sneaking him under the table is what allowed me close to him.
    Enjoy everyday with your pups…they just don’t get to stay with us as long as they should. I don’t whine about stuff I can’t control, but that is my one big gripe. I mean come on GOD, you make these amazing companions…but they are fine so quick :(

    I just went through this with my rescue
    Started down the fast kill, 1 injection in I had a very sick doggo. 30 hrs in Er..
    Switched to slow kill Moxy/Doxy shes heartworm free in one year from diagnosis.

    if i ever have a heartworm dog again ill opt for slow kill.
    That shit almost killed my dog

    This is what I’m afraid of. Did they have her on any meds before the injection?

    The plan she is on now is doxy & prednisone for a month. Then a month off before starting injections in Jan.

    Suki was asymptomatic..
    1 month doxy 1 month wait period
    1 injection
    5 days later Er 30 hrs
    I shouldve went with my gut from the get go.
